Running in terrain 3:00:00 [1]

Time estimated. This was traipsing, mostly through soft sand and breakwater rocks, to visit lighthouses in Provincetown with Nancy. Very little running per se was involved, but it's still a lot of work when the surface is so soft. The Province Lands area would make a pretty interesting place for orienteering, and if you held a relay based at the Visitor Center, the observation deck would provide great viewing for plenty of spectator controls. Plenty of parking, and in the off-season, lodging is pretty reasonable. Takes forever to get there, though. Unless you fly into Provincetown, in which case you could walk from the airport.

Note

No hang gliding. Got up before dawn, set up the glider, watched a few other guys (much more experienced than me) launch into strong winds that had them landing after not so long, saying that they didn't feel too comfortable up there, and put away my glider and went back to bed. There was also the detail that my harness was still in the closet back home.
