White Rose long, Windy Pits. Not really much that the planner could do with the terrain to salvage a good course today. Lots of path running interspersed with some grotty bracken bashing. Rain too. The yang of yesterday's ying.

White Rose Middle, Duncombe Park. Good challenging Middle course on an average sort of area. Lots of winding through old military ruins in the second half, which kept it nice and interesting. A couple of small mistakes but nothing of note. Followed by a lovely sunny afternoon enjoying the labyrinth and sprint around Helmsley Castle with Alex and Jen.

White Rose night race. As ever, best event of the year bar none. Mass start, 30 controls, 30 minutes, keep up the 1 control/minute average for as long as possible. Managed to hang on to the end today by a very small margin, helped by racing Andy Llewelyn over the first half. Mostly water meadows, so not even too rough this year.
