More running. And this time it did feel good. Just so nice to be out running for no reason at all and with nothing on my back. Ran quite fast once in the woods just because it was fun. I honestly didn't expect to be able to run injury/illness/tiredness-free so soon after the Alps. But not getting carried away, nothing on the horizon until the relays, so still going to take it very easy for a good while.

A run! I would love to say that it felt great, but it was early, I had only just woken up, and it didn't. Nothing above a niggle on the injury-o-meter though, which was encouraging. Back, in particular, is better than it has been for months, if not years, as it was all week last week. Very odd and lends credibility to my theory that it is a desk-related rather than running-related injury. Need to take care of it now and get back on the yoga wagon though.

Better but still not great. Managed to get into work and back under my own steam, anyway.

slept:11.0 (rest day)

Well it's not been the smoothest of landings post-Alps. After a nice chilled out day of eating and catching up with Alex and Jenny on Monday I spent the next 48 hours in bed with a fever and no food. I'm guessing that the bug that was doing the rounds last week made a comeback with a vengence. Bit brighter today and tentatively striking out on an adventurous diet of bananas, apples, rice and toast.

Legs, feet and body in general feeling absolutely fine. Lightest I have been in years, unsurprisingly. Looking forward to piling on a few pounds as soon as the system can take it.
