Nice run up to High Raise, High Street, down to Haweswater then back up for a nice hard plummet down from Low Raise. Met the family on their way up the hill at the end. Bit longer than planned so hungry and thirsty by the time I got back. Last long session done.

Long day of driving down to the Lakes. Couldn't be bothered to get out once we arrived and enjoyed a day off instead.

Evening cruise round the WOC relay course at Darnaway. Pleasant forest and fairly straightforward when you're not blasting round at top speed fending off the world's elite.

Up Cairngorm from the carpark, met the family at the station and took the lad to the top and back. Then headed off to Lairig Ghru, straight down and up on some gnarly scree, on to Braeriach, followed by a long slog down the valley to Lochan Eileen for a long dip. Lovely.

Cruise to Logie Steading through Darnaway from our house. Gorgeous forest, had to cross a rather big river at the end. Found a narrower place to lob my shoes over then swam it.

Couldn't miss the chance to run the WOC Middle distance when it's right next to where we're staying. Had fantasies of nailing some fast splits, but they were out of the window right from the start. Some tricky legs, I can see why a few folk had trouble. I stopped after the controls in the open mingy stuff and ran home. Worth the effort.

Running 39:20 intensity: (36:00 @2) + (3:20 @5) 9.0 km (4:22 / km) +80m 4:11 / km

Run to the start and back from the finish. Hard 1km on the trails on the way back to make it go a bit quicker.
