Lucky enough to coincide our trip with a trail race in Lluc, which turned out to be quite a big occasion with the monastery opened up for a big fiesta. The route was good with a few technical sections and some substantial climbs, not unlike a Peaks fell race really. Had a good ding dong with a local guy Damia, who turns out to be quite a handy runner. We quickly pulled out a lead then got a bit lost and got caught by the pack. Got away again after that and we shared the lead for a bit before he pulled away on the steeper part of the descent to beat me by a few seconds. Pleased to have got through a tough week and surprised at how good the legs felt today. Spent the rest of the day hanging out in Lluc and playing in the playgrounds.

From Valledemossa up to the summit of Teix and back. Felt better than expected and enjoyed the dramatic scenery. Took it pretty easy though.

Morning jog. Feeling quite a bit better and eating properly again.

Longer run up into the mountains above town (watch ran out after first climb, so distance a guess, but I doubt it was any further than this!). More time on feet than sustained effort as the trails varied from nice, fast forest roads to jagged exposed limestone pavement and rough cobbles. Got lost a few times and did some scrambling to get back on track. Mostly cloudy at the main summits, which was probably a blessing as it hid the precipitous drops that I was stumbling along the edge of. Lucky that it stayed dry as what was treacherous in the dry would have been suicidal in the wet. Descended via a dramatic gorge and arrived home mentally and physically exhausted from the concentration required to not stack it on every footstep. Great proprioception training.

Early start to fit this in before a day in Palma. Up to the viewpoint above town before a descent to Fornalutx. Very wet and rainy, rivers running down all the trails and slippy on the cobbles.

My turn with the bug of doom, which kept me awake for most of the night with an uncomfortable tummy. Off food for the day and not feeling right in general. Managed to get out for a jog up to the Three Crosses above town on a rainy afternoon in Soller.

Drills on the way back down to make the outing a bit worthwhile.

Jog through town and up a switchback track. Back via bakery.

From Port Soller up a few switchbacks, over a few gates, scramble up a limestone ridge to bag a summit, back down a well-marked trail via the Polenca road. Longer than planned (again) but felt good and enjoyed it. Managed to stop my watch for a chunk of the run (corrected).
