Planned a morning cruise up to Damflask and back, but felt pretty good so ran a lap of the reservoir. Passed a group of runners near Bradfield and one of them accelerated and stuck on my shoulder. After a km or so I realised it was Jason, who was also having a long cruise, so we ran together for a second lap, then I peeled off back down the valley. Good to have some company and the time passed very quickly. Quads and ITBs are sore, but otherwise feeling good.

Evening jog to shake the legs out. Very sore to start but eased off.

From home to Darton, most of the way along the TPT. Still feeling tired today so started easy and wound the pace up. Felt good out through Wharncliffe and risked a 20min faster section (above tempo) once I hit the TPT proper. Tried to keep a decently fast pace after that and the last couple of kms around Darton were a struggle. Wet and bleak all the way, which suited my mood.

Parked at Burbage bridge and ran a lap of the valley with a stop en route to update the boulders map. Pretty much dark by the time I finished and I had a sketchy run back to the car.

Loxley Valley. Body felt OK, head felt somewhere else. Wanted to get out though and feel better for it.

Walked to work and back to get some kind of exercise in. Soreness is abating.
