Back in the saddle for some more exploring before catching the train back to Sheffield!

Evening run in Paris after a tiring day of sightseeing. We must have walked for miles around the Louvre, the Sacre Coeur and plenty of aimless wandering. Dragged myself out along the canal to la cite de sciences and explored the grounds a bit. Then met PJ and Duncan for dinner in town.

Whizzing around Paris on Velibs - the free bikes that you can pick up and drop off anywhere around the city. It's such a great idea, just put a deposit on your credit card and away you go. It can be tricky to find some free ports for the bikes at the end of the day, a bit like musical chairs, and of course you don't get a helmet, but it's a really good way to see the city.

Off to Paris with Jen on the Eurostar. Nice way to travel, no messing about in airports and straight into the city at the other end. Made it to the Pompidou centre in the afternoon.

Down to London for the day, no time for training. Managed to have a look around the V&A's cold war modern exhibition, which is really great - James bond sets, cool bits of modernist architecture, sputniks and such like.

Tuesday Nov 4, 2008 #

Track session 30:00 [5] 5.0 km (6:00 / km)

Hallamshire session, first for a while. 2 x 1600 in 5.03 and 5.07 then 7x200m relay with Camel, jogging across the middle in the recovery. Skipped the last part which would have been race and chase.

To track and back with Camel.

Run home from work in casual shoes (I forgot my trainers), quick change then out for a bit more. Ended up pretty hilly with notable climbs including 2xBlake st and most of Hero's. Feeling pretty much better today, mostly unblocked.
