new years resolution: try coffee :P haha.

national junior camp starts. huge group warm up and down before and after the peg course thing.
knee feeling pretty good.

Orienteering race 25:00 [5] 4.0 km (6:15 / km)
shoes: new VJ falcons

did this sweet peg relay thing. if you got a peg (by being one of the first 6 to a control) you had to do an extra control or so. ended up with....maybe 4 pegs? but i possibly ran past one at the last control because there was no split and i wasnt really checking. either that or olle took the one just before me. grrr. lol. really enjoyed it and felt like i was running well.

pretty slow and easy warm up. easy on the knee.

decided to have a go today coz the knee was feeling alot better.
had a pretty good run. lost a little bit of time around 12 and 13 though i think. cant really remember but i think it was pretty good other than that. running pretty well too :)

so knee gicing me a fair bit of pain and decided it would be best to rest it up as its only the five days. ots of photo taking, icing, and stretching.

warm up and down was very lacking coz of this wierd knee pain i got. just REALLY hurting on warm up and down.

Orienteering race (XMas 5days - Day 2) 39:39 [5] 5.9 km (6:43 / km)

stuffed the first one a bit. then caught up to geoff lawford at about 3 and we were together the whole way. both of us pretty much all over the place with the nav though. made lots of small mistakes in the circle. knee hurt aswel but it wasnt too irritating on course. despit this i felt like i did better than the previous day, but i was actually further down the placings.

got a new pair of falcons coz my other were pretty much demolished.
and no stretch again i think. not sure though.

but i did lots of stretchng and icing of my at the camp site. thanks to carolyn's advice :P

hmm...hard to remember. pretty sure i was real slow in the middle section. had some badish route choices and i lost about 2 mins towards the end of the course. was damn goodto get out in the bush again though :D

oops. first day and pretty sure i forgot to stretch. not a good sign :P
