Road Bike 6:40:00 139.05 km (20.9 kph) +3580m

Plan was to do Umbrail and then Stelvio, starting from Tirano. On top of Umbrail, I decided to cut it short as I felt tired. Continued to Passo di Stelvio, rode down some 2km on the other side and climbed to the top again. On the way back home to Tirano, I felt better again and thus decided to add some more climbing by doing the first third of Mortirolo from Mazzo. All in all I did quite a bit of climbing, however, nothing compared to stone who did the originally planned route with some 4500m of climbing!

Road Bike 5:00:00 90.0 km (18.0 kph) +3100m

Riding the famous Mortirolo from Tovo (1:14h), the toughest of all Mortirolo ascents, some 5h ahead of the Giro peloton. While the average is "only" 10.5%, the last part has some long 20-22% sections on very rough concrete which are a real killer. Even the pros looked not fluid at all in this section. We continued down to Monno and Edolo in order to do the climb again from the other side. This uphill is hardly known but actually has some even steeper sections with max. gradients of 25%. Legs were good today, really enjoyed it those steep climbs. On top of the mountain, we followed the "Kammstrasse" back to Passo Mortirolo and watched the Giro some 1km below the GPM.

Road Bike 7:45:00 185.0 km (23.9 kph) +4000m

St. Moritz-Chiavenna-Splügenpass-Thusis-Julier-St. Moritz (GPS file stops in Thusis, battery empty). My longest tour on the road bike ever, with stone. Only two passes but those were long; Splügen 1800 climbing meters on 31km uphill, Julier was even longer. We even pushed hard on the Julier on the last 4-5km. Legs were ok, in particular considering the effort of the previous two days. I'm getting more and more confident for the Transalp. Added again some 30 climbing meters to make it 4000m.

Road Bike 5:50:00 144.65 km (24.8 kph) +3000m

The classic Flüela-Albula loop. Again poor legs on the Flüela, suffered and got dropped. Legs magically recovered during the ride and was doing fine again on the Albula, riding a good pace on the last kms. We added some extra 30 climbing meters at the very end to make it straight 3000m :)
