Day 2 Classic Distance at CNYO's A-Meet. Decided to back off the pace today and try to stay accurate on much more complicated terrain. Was reading contours well today. I had three errors that I managed to keep as minor errors in the 1-min time frame. My other errors were ~10-15sec errors in or out of controls. My biggest regret of the day was my error at #16, when I lost the pack with Clem McGrath and two others...thereby having to push the last couple of km without anyone else to push with. Eddie Bergeron caught me coming out of 19.
Heart rates clearly show I was more in control navigationally than I was Saturday.

Sprint at CNYO A-Meet at Hope Lake. Went out determined to run well. J-hooked into #2, and then up toward three, which I over-ran, heading up the hill, trying to make the terrain fit the map...finally realized that I was breaking new brush even though I had a late start. Came back down and then hung with Peter Gagarin and later Ross Smith for the rest of the race.

Orienteering race 56:02 [5] *** 6.3 km (8:54 / km) +215m 7:36 / km
ahr:163 max:174 spiked:17/20c shoes: Low Top O-spikes

Middle Distance Race at A-meet in the afternoon. Felt in touch with the map from the beginning and kept a good pace. About halfway through I realized I was having a good race. Wil Hawkins caught me leaving 12, and I barely hung on to him until 16.
