Nice and easy in the sunshine with wet feet up Nant y Bedw. Tired after yesterday so only wanting something sort and not too hilly, but body responded pretty well.

Very positive and enjoyable run. In fact, was running much better than expected - probably helped by a couple of days off but legs also moving much more freely. Very wet underfoot but otherwise dry and enjoyed being out. Hip also survived.

Note

Just pure lazy and couldn't muster the motivation required.

Note

Had half plans to get out for a short one but being delayed finishing work put an end to them.

Horrible day, lots of major heavy rain and some hail. However, when it got to 4 it was actually sunny so I figured that I should get out as it may not be as nice tomorrow. Legs feeling better, but did give then a good massage last night, so that's positive. Running okay but without too much oomph, so tired by the time I got to the top and was ready for the second half to be down hill. Very wet underfoot and plenty of signs that it will also shortly be very muddy. Much cooler than yesterday.

Bumped into Jules behind the Ty Nant while waiting to bump into Martyn. Good to catch up with him. Martyn not in a very motivated mood, so started easy, which was grand with me. Took an unusual loop along the the edge of the motorway and when we got to the road at the end Martyn said 'I've never run up this one' so I said, you go up the road and turn right, and I'll go up the bridleway way and see you at the top'. Of course Martyn wasn't able to follow those directions, so we never saw each other again. I did guess what he'd done but he was long gone by the time I got around to where he went.
Quads quite tight after the road yesterday and feeling a bit tired in general, so effort was quite easy. Also quite dark by the time I finished.

To Gabalfa. Cut it a bit tight and didn't have enough time to stop sweating before heading inside. She was running late though so was able to go and stand in the cold again! Legs not enjoying the tarmac but also working okay at the same time. More new roads for me as well.
5 PM

Run - Road 38:55 intensity: (31 @1) + (11 @2) + (12:38 @3) + (25:35 @4) 8.01 km (4:51 / km) +44m 4:44 / km

Back home. Odd session this, as the half hour break between is enough to get cool but not enough to recover, so by the the time I get home it feels like I've been on the road for quite a while. Put a bit of effort in for the last 500m.
