Blah!! Somehow managed to entirely skip #12 and went heading toward 13 instead, which was totally ridiculous because 11-12 was so easy looking at it now, and then 12-13 wouldnt be too bad either, but I got wayboff going to 13 erroneously. Crazy, still don't know why I did that. Still sick. But most of the rest of the run was in a pretty good groove, and I was actually happy with most of the rest of it. I didn't feel as sick and sluggish and sloppy as I did in the sprint the day before, but did make that major mistake skipping 12 and then getting disorientated on the way to 13. I wish there was something I could point to as to why I skipped 12 but it just doesn't make sense to me why I did that. In the past I have skipped a control because of parallel route lines, but I cant find anything like that as an explanation. I suppose my head just wasn't into it at that point in the course and perhaps the sickness was a factor. Whatever it was I just hope not to do it again and obviously this will have to be one of my runs that gets wiped for the year. Now I just have to look ahead and move on. The good thing is I had a solid pace for most of the rest ofmthe course and would have come in at around 50-55 min without those mid-course errors, so I'm happy with that and still feeling more confident despite the major error.
