Whoa! That was a lot of boulders!! Ran too fast without paying detailed attention to map on several occasions. Didn't run this one anywhere near my potential, still trying to figure out how I made so many navigation errors, but I think the main thing is I should have slowed down and taken more time to think. Fatigue and stress from the drama with travels could have also been a factor. Ffitness definitely wasn't the problem, was feeling physically good the whole run. Did notice that I've been relying on trails too much for navigation... on this map there were trails which weren't mapped and mapped trails which were barely identifiable. Probably should really work on terrain navigation. Note sure what I can do about the boulder problems I was having, I think I'm just not used to seeing so many and making quick decisions about them. Probably should spend some more time on maps with lots of boulders. Despite the dissapointing results, had a blast and really liked the cool, misty run. Great event!
