Orienteering 1:00:00 [3]

Picking up half the controls I put out yesterday. Its amazing how much faster it is when:
(a) You know you only have to get half
(b) You send Martin out to get the hillier ones
(c) You dont have to ensure they are in the right place
(d) You want to get the fuck out of there!

So it went well today. The Chiefs enjoyed themselves. The most the winning team did was about 1/2 the controls I put out, well slightly over. But I did set it so that they could do up to 2hrs on it and still not really get all the controls. There were 6 teams of 5-6 including a management team, which lost! Fozzie (Ian Foster) does have a gut a bit bigger than mine.

Saw a few boys I used to play rugby with, was a pretty hard case. Vern Kamo, I played with him from about 6 to 16 was there, man hes packed it on a bit. Big boy now.

About 10 of the 30ish were injured and just went mountain biking around. Jono Gibbes is a fucking crazy guy on the bike. They had mean fun. Our landowner got given a shirt (i organised that one) and he was stoaked. His kid took the day off school to do it, he was stoaked!

Note
(injured)

Had a sore toe yesterday after putting controls out, got some crap in under the nail. Today = mean infected. Went to Doctor this arvo and got some anti biotics to take care of it. They tried pricking it but couldnt hit the oil, i mean puss.

Lucky I had martin to help me collect controls otherwise I would have been struggling hardout!

Orienteering 3:30:00 [3] ***

Put out 25 controls around the hills on on the way to Raglan. Taking the Chiefs rugby squad orienteering 2moro, martins going to come give me and hand to collect them as they took bloody ages to put out. Makes me wonder if it is really worth doing such an event, considering only like 30 guys max are going to do it. What does one charge a professional organisation for such an event, they have said money is no object?

Running 20:00 [3]

Just a quick run around the streets here to have a blast. Was pretty god damn humid but was good. Back ok.
