Spent the free day in the Kyrgyz Tien Shan mountains. Up from Alplager to Fioletovy pass and then direction Pik Komsomolez, unfortunately, there was a lot of snow recently, so I just went up to the snowline at approx. 3600m. Equipped with an old Soviet map which makes you really appreciate Swiss Topo quality. Beautiful views towards the glaciers and the highest peaks of the range. Alplager was once the pride of Soviet mountaineering, but has gone into decline since...

Managed to squeeze in a short run after work before it was getting dark. In the dark it is too dangerous as you hardly see the 2m holes in the pavement. Same loop in Southern Bishkek as yesterday. Surprisingly good air and beautiful sunset over the Tien Shan mountains.
