Had the microsurgery yesterday in Vevey and he removed 1.5 cm of cartilage which was infiltrated by cancerous tissue. He opened it twice to check the samples each time that everything was out until it came back clean. The following reconstructure of the upper edge of my ear (which by then a big gap in itI took almost 60 min and was quite tough to bear. He somehow shifted some cartilage up there and pulled the skin back over it (yikes). I should have a beautiful ear again, but best of all, all cancerous tissue is out and this type of carcinome in the skin should not spread. Whew.
Spent over 6 hours at that place with sporadic walking loops in Vevey to update Urs who was waiting and/or having a coffee.
Had an uncomfortable night and hopefully, this one will be a bit better. No sport for a week as it is all wrapped up and the threads used should not get moisure from sweat or heat when moving. So I'll keep quiet and work on my beauty until Thursday when the threads come out.
