Warm-up to the start. Forgot my batch and had to hurry back to the car to get it and back to the start. Good warm-up in the cold rain.

Mountain Biking race 43:01 [5] 7.45 km (5:46 / km) +271m 4:53 / km

Last MtbO-race of the year and also the final of the Swiss Cup (I rode only in 3 races and came in 2nd overall today w/2 wins and 1 second).

Mountain Biking 11:01 [3] 3.09 km (3:34 / km) +54m 3:16 / km

Ride back with cold feet and arms, fingers. Pushed hard despite the uphills to get inside into the warm changing area. Cold, rainy, almost snowing.

Mountain Biking 1:36:23 [3] 21.51 km (4:29 / km) +536m 3:59 / km

Started way too late bc of various phone calls and work on the computer for opening our web site next week (1.11.18) for the Swiss 5days2020 for which I am in charge of the communication. It's been quite a challenge and I learned a lot about creating a web page and filling it with words in 3 languages ;-). But we're almost ready.
So I hurried uphill from us and over above Corcelles and Peseux through the woods checking frequently on my map which would be the fastest way to Valangin with the least amount of uphill. I think I found the solution but didn't consider the uphill after Valangin which is a town in a hole to get back up to Pierre-à-Bot to take pictures in the sunlight before our weather would turn. From there it took me a little over 20 min to get to Sandra and Marc's place for celebrating Urs's bd and to chat for a moment before the kids would be back.

I am glad I could push the pace, as zesterday I was still lethargic. Too bad on Saturday for the MTBO-race it should rain pretty much all day. (It will be the first real rain we've had in a very long time, such as months, maybe even since spring. Everything is very dry, and they had to stop the container ship traffic on the Rhine in Basel bc of low water levels!).
