A nice run in cooler weather. Lots of blown-off branches on the ground from Thu eve storm; also had to climb through 2 trees that were uprooted and across the trail.

Maybe the last swim/float on a hot day? Tomorrow, it's supposed to cool off. Went on Urs's first day of vacation/retirement.

After my work in Interlaken, I drove back to Thun as I was supposed to meet him there, but there was an accident and the fast road was closed in both direction. Lots of Standing, Long lines up to Interlaken and down to Spiez, it was a test of Patience. We were diverted up on smaller roads which was packed with busses full of tourists, Camping Trailers, rental cars with Arabian tourists, it was very slow going and generally a chaos (that steep hillside does not have many Options for taking roads, too remote and inaccessible.) I met Urs at some friends' house, then by 7 pm I started to ride my road bike towards Bern and I found a very beautiful bike route (Stockental or Moraine Route) and followed it for a while all up and down. Eventually, I felt I needed to hurry towards Bern as I had no light and was worried about visibility on the roads. At one Point, I veered off the main road to connect to a lesser paved road traversing farming land and within 3 km I had a flat with a big Long nail sticking in my tube.
Urs had to save me and while I waited, I took the back wheel off and checked the tire and found that nail. Not my day.
But part of the ride was very pretty. I had adjusted the positioning of the cleats to the holes further back on the balls of my feet, and now it's perfect!
