Running 47:33 [2] 4.62 km (10:17 / km) +98m 9:18 / km

An easy stroll around Estes park. Tried to find a trail that was recommended but couldn't find it. So I went back to downtown and along the st.vrain and then back. Again lots of stops to orient myself and look at the view.
Yday, we visited w Libby and Bob Ellis, was neat to see them.

Running 56:00 [3] 5.51 km (10:10 / km) +154m 8:55 / km

Because of the unstable weather, we decided not to rent bikes (and go to Rampart Reservoir :'-/), but to do "chores" around town.
But I insisted on doing an outing/run and we decided to go over to Red Rock Park. It's beautiful as always, yet there's also lot of damage from the run-offs of that much rain over the last 4 months.
Felt quite good, did my "regular" loop which is mostly uphill first and then on little trails through the beautiful rocks and in-and-outs of creeks.
Today, I tried a chondromalaitian band around my R knee and it really helped!! I haven't been able to jog on that kind of uneven ground and it did not hurt, almost. Really happy. I'm also adjusting to the altitude and the jetlag, finally.
Again, lots of stops to smell the flowers, that is, to take pictures. And I saw the Mariposa lilies!!! The state flower of Utah which is so rare and very protected. I was told that somehow they have started appearing in CS (due to the rains?), and I was so excited when I saw a bunch of them.

Note: yesterday in Palmer Park, I had taped my knee to stabilise the kneecap and the two meniscii. It felt really good, but as soon as I sweat too much, the tape would come off. Today, the chondro-band. I might actually start thinking about being able to ease into orienteering again in the fall after we've moved to Colombier beg. of September? Neat.

Running 1:00:32 [3] 6.57 km (9:13 / km) +46m 8:54 / km

Run in Palmer Park, hot and sticky and dark clouds are looming. With Christoph. First meandering a bit to find the Templeton Trail. Lots of stopping as he was "Training" Rosie his dog. Run on the trail, first time for me to do such rough trails and Areas. After 2 k decide to head up onto the dirt road on top and did the Loop. Back to Urs and run from there on the Little trail down to the park entrance. Slow run again, but enjoyed it. Had taped the knee to Support the knee cap and the two meniscii which felt really good. But the tape loosened when I sweat too much.
