Mountain Biking 2:07:12 [2] 37.51 km (3:23 / km) +186m 3:19 / km

A beautiful ride coming back from where the event center of today's O-meet was. Chatted some, had a coffee and started riding follong the national bike route towards Bern.Very beautiful. Took it easy and stopped several times along the way to stretch.
My knee does not like the mountain bike as much as the road bike but it was manageable.
Met Urs at the pool in Münsingen with the car and while he rode home, I drove the car. That was just about the right time, was tired and the leg had enough too.
Did I mention that we have these gorgeous fall days, warm, great scenery and views onto the white Alps near Interlaken. What a day.

Roadbiking 1:09:05 [3] 22.99 km (3:00 / km) +222m 2:52 / km

As my knee seems a little better or less painful, I tried a little roadbiking trip and it felt SO good. This bike is really well adjusted to me. Felt easy even if I pushed uphill. The hard part is still getting out of the pedals, I almost can't do it with the right leg as the knee hurts too much or is too weak for the angle it needs to kick out.

Unspecified 1 [0]

This was a bad week for my knee, could almost do nothing at all as the pain was bad. Did 30 min of Crosstrainer-workout on Tuesday which was barely ok, but on Wednesday, I had to stop after a few minutes.

On Friday morning I got up and voilà, most of the pain was gone, I could move my knee a lot more. Still could not put weight on it when going upstairs.
Was it afraid of my doc appointment?? ;-)

Saw the ortho later in the morning and was not at all satisfied with his manners and categorising me as an "aging athlete" with a tone of voice I did not like at all. Yes, I have arthritis, not very bad but still. And what about that spur on the tibia medially? No real answer.
My options: get a shot into the capsule, maybe some conservative therapy and see what happens or do an MRI and decide from there.
Well, I waited long enough and did therapy (lymph drainage and fascial release which both helped but did not touch the source of the problem) so I opted for the MRI and moving forward. But still another 2 weeks wait for his next Doc apptmt.
AND, I should consider stopping running and do more walking, hiking instead! Answered him that exactly walking hurts more that running which has been good.
Anyway, we did not get along and he left early impatient as he'd spent too much time with me (4.37 min?). His assistant doc was much nicer.
Might have to find another solution.
