Running race 29:15 [5] 5.15 km (5:41 / km) +91m 5:13 / km

Did the "Frauenlauf" with 15'000 other women in the center of Bern today (it passes very close to where we live). So, my internal clock ran at 4 am, which is a tough thing ;-).
But I seem mostly switched except for some tiredness from the travels and a short night. With my cold I knew to start slowly and in control as to never really tax my lungs which hurt a bit with my dry cough. The hardest part is between 2-3 km when it goes mostly up. In fact, there are a lot of subtle inclines that one does not notice in everyday life except when biking or running. Was opting for a 30-min time and was very happy to come in 29:13,5 and 44th out of 145 women in my age class.

Running 52:43 [3] 5.63 km (9:21 / km) +189m 8:01 / km

Last run in Fox Run Park before driving to Denver and to fly home.
Felt much better than 2 weeks ago when we arrived. But took it easy as my cough/cold is bothering me.
Beautiful weather (NOW that we're leaving, grrr)

Running 1:02:04 [3] 7.44 km (8:21 / km) +134m 7:39 / km

Went for a run in the Garden of the Gods in the Southern section where I haven't been in over 10 years. Lots of fun, went slowly and took some pictures, too.
Since 6 days I feel a cold coming on, and it finally starts hitting me. Rats.

Hiking 5:12:45 [2] 12.48 km (25:04 / km) +934m 18:14 / km

We spent a few days near Taos and went to climb Mt. Wheeler without knowing whether it would be possible at all due to the snow.
We took the shorter version of the trails, luckily it was newly constructed with a nice even incline. We had to pass several snow fields, but we did ok with our running shoes.
Fun climb, stayed with or waited for Urs so we made it comfortably. Lots of curious marmots coming right up to us.

Running 1:05:37 [3] 7.37 km (8:54 / km) +78m 8:27 / km

Camping along the Rio Grande South of Taos and went running from the bridge back to our camp, first on the road (that was hard, but saw lots of wildflowers and a red-winged blackbird). Then took the parallel trail through rocks and winding its way back which was much slower but interesting.
