Classic x-c skiing 50:00 [1] 4.5 km (11:07 / km) +30m 10:45 / km

Decided to go to the Vue-des-Alpes because the sun came out and the promise of new snow up there (which was not the case), after some grey blistery and wet days at home.
It was the first time on classic skis for Urs, and we wanted to take it easy. That suited me just fine as I did not feel I had much energy anyway. He got used to the equipment and could actually do a whole loop. I showed him some pointers which he picked up well. Those narrow skis are sure a challenge for anybody being a superb skier and used to the downhill equipment since boyhood. Lets hope for more outings :-).

Skateskiing 30:12 [2] 3.8 km (7:56 / km) +51m 7:26 / km

Trying some skate skiing. There was still no energy in my arms or shoulders for the uphills, but I felt lazy anyway, just enjoying the sun and the snow.

Unspecified 1 [0]

Miserable day at home with Body aches and sore muscles until I decided I'd try a Theraflu which helped. Not even reading a book was possible :-(.
But luckily, this, too, will pass.
And it was a blistery, warm and rainy day.

Crosstrainer 45:00 [2]

Squeezed in a crosstrainer workout. As soon as I stopped I felt suddenly getting squeezy and exhausted and as if a dumptruck hit me.
Of course, I ignored it, showered, had dinner and went to the theatre. But the Feeling did not leave, in fact it worsened, and during the Play I had to dash out.
The Lauensteinsche stomach flu hit me full force! Back at home, it continued into the night with "projectile vomiting" as Garrison Keillor on News of Lake Wobegon would call it. Very painful. But luckily, by 2 am it was over and I could sleep.

Running 1:04:40 [3] 8.0 km (8:05 / km) +298m 6:49 / km

Another "quick" run squeezed inbetween things to do with Molly and Christoph, actually today it was taking the Train to Zurich (they are flying out early on the 1st) and spending New Year's Eve with them in Zurich and the Grand fireworks after midnight (and taking the last Train back to Bern at 1 am!!).
Somehow, this run was very slow, my legs felt heavy either from lack of sleep or being way too hungry. Oh well, just felt good being outside.
