Orienteering race 53:35 [5] 5.49 km (9:45 / km) +290m 7:43 / km

Regional race: felt good and was fast the first 8 controls had 19 minutes and thought I'd make it in little over 40 min. (actually, I was running in 2nd place for most of the beginning). Then could not see the flag in a pit and searched a bit. But then second last control, I went by this very green huge depressen so close, but did not see it but ended up in another depression that was close to the road, actually to the start. I turned and looked at the green stuff but everything in me just did not want to go into those brambles, but there was the flag on the far-away side. My arms are still vibrating from the rasperry- blackberrybranches and the nettles.
Happy with my run, just need to follow through 100% with my orienteering then I'll be up front. (probably don't take it seriously enough, but just as a "game" or fast training or just happy to run through the woods, whatever.)

Finally, a full day at home to take care of lots of things. Urs had to work as he is going to leave to Cape Town on Sunday.
Run from his office and do 2 loops on "my" trail. Both about the same time: 10.15 each. Felt good.

Strollering run with Sandra (she was pushing the stroller!) I did not even have to help her on the uphills, I had enough to catch my breath keeping up with her and chatting all the way!

Nice run over and down to Colombier, mostly paved.
Beautiful day, realised that the vines that were completely destroyed by hail in July (?) had lots of leaves and new grapes (green though) hanging. The wonder of nature.

Crosstrainer 30:00 [2]

Some crosstraining at home late after driving Urs's mom around all afternoon.
As always, watched a movie and did some wide-stanced squats and stood on the hedgehogs to massage the soles of my foot while doing balancing/proprioception exercises for my knees. I needed those. it's been awhile.

Had Christine over for lunch and a chat with her grandson, then we walked to the Dählhölzli. Ran "my" loop from there and back home. Was kind of tough running so much on pavement again. Also, I hadn't run for awhile again, always hard to get back into it again.
Another gorgeous late summer/fall day.

Another incredibly beautiful day in Swissland: went on my usual bike loop despite having little sore legs. Enjoyed it and tried to push in parts.
Still can't seem to find the right way through Muri and this time, it drifted me down to the Aare again from where I had to steeply climb back up again. Quite a substantial detour. Some day, I am going to solve this Muri-puzzle or take a map along.
