Swimming 25:00 [1] 3.0 km (8:20 / km)

Swimming in the Aare again, going twice. There were a record number of people in the river and walking upstream. Amazing and truly a specialty for Berne. The current was still strong and the water high, well it was 12 degrees on the Jungfraujoch on 3600 m and all that melting snow from glaciers is eventually running through here.

Orienteering race 58:11 [5] 5.46 km (10:39 / km) +190m 9:05 / km

Long-O Champs in Basel with temps close to 35 degrees! We started high up on Sissacher Fluh and it was pretty much a downhill cross-country race. Made no mistakes except maybe some route choices that were not the fastest, but had decided to stick to the trails and roads and not slug it through the summer brambles when going straight. I also felt the lack of running training as I really ran very little this last month and my big toe has bothered me now for 3 weeks and was infected this last week. The downhill running did not help it much.

Mountain Biking 2:07:54 [2] 25.74 km (4:58 / km) +260m 4:44 / km

Went to Basel later in the afternoon and did a bike ride from Rheinfelden, a beautiful old town on the Rhine.

Afterwards, we took a short swim in the Rhine cooling off at 8 pm! The Rhine is about twice as wide as the Aare in Berne but not running as fast.

Swimming 40:00 [1] 3.2 km (12:30 / km) +3m 12:27 / km

First time in the Aare, it was 21.3 degrees!! The water was still high and running strong. So many people in it, great fun. Actually, it was so warm and so much fun that we went twice and floated down.

Mountain Biking 2:07:15 [3] 24.31 km (5:14 / km) +514m 4:44 / km

Did the Noréaz loop again with 2 friends from the snow shoe group. I still need to work on the singletrail uphills, just don't feel like I have enough strength to pull through.
Left toe is still swollen and painful, sometimes more, sometimes less.
