Orienteering race 13:38 [5] 1.8 km (7:34 / km) +23m 7:07 / km

First part of a double sprint Nat.A meet. Very intricate and difficult, somethimes hard to see or make out on the map which was what, could you go through, where was the impassable wall ending, etc. Had a very good run two-thirds through and was very concentrated when I caught a glimpse of Rita who had started 4 min. ahead. This was enough to distract my mind for a mini-second, and I was confused, stopped short before my control (10 meters behind a wall) and turned to the next one which was also right there (on a beautiful mill water-wheel). Continued and already had a hunch that I did something wrong, but the finish was right there, so I went on. I was not suprised to find out that I had left out one control, but in the heat of the race within this maze of trails, walls, houses etc and the sprint-feel of having to rush, I just did not check things long enough. Dismayed, as I would have been 5th even with correcting because there was a gap of 90 secs. between 4th and 5th place. Oh well.

Orienteering race 15:39 [4] 2.11 km (7:26 / km)

I had wanted to go home but Rita told me to run the second sprint anyway just for the fun of it and because I had travelled so far.
But the motivation was not the same. And it was much easier, lots more straight forward neighborhood running until towards the end where we got into another little center of the village where everything is very complicated with uneven angular houses, stairs, different levels, stairs down into bike cellars, etc. That's where I made 2 mistakes, looking down from a higher level to where my control was and I had to go back and around and the second last control where I thought I was at the third last and could not make sense out of it.
Anyway, the two combined sprints would probably have landed me on 7th place which I'd be pleased at, but having dqed the first sprint, it does not count.

Running 20:00 [2] 2.0 km (10:00 / km) +8m 9:48 / km

Running to and from the starts.

Unspecified 1 [3]

Really could not get my act together for anything! Still did a lot of WOC-work but also houshold chores, and again, it was raining and cold, just could not push myself out the door for a run.

Yoga 1:10:00 [2]

Teaching 2 yoga classes and both have an intense middle to it which I count for training. (The classes are 70 min long each.)

Mini Trampolin 30:00 [2]

For the first time in a long while, I could not get myself to go outside! So I did 30 min of mini tramp running plus some jumps and pick-ups.
Afterwards, did at least 20 min of yoga program.
Still kind of feel Monday's race as the muscles seem tight. Plus, the weather has changed and its rainy and cold.

Teaching classes 1:00:00 [1]

Teaching only 2 classes, lots of people seem to prolong their Easter vacation.

Orienteering race 1:00:39 [5] 5.5 km (11:02 / km) +180m 9:29 / km

First Nat. A meet; took Sandra's advice from yesterday and set my mind to it and got up early so I was awake for my early start time, and I would pause and look at the map twice before doing a big mistake, etc.
It worked, she is such a good coach (!), and I was awake and made "only" one bigger mistake to number 3 (again!) taking a parallel road all uphill which curved farther and farther away until I really had to cut over. The good thing was that I approached the control (a hole in the green) from above and hit it :-)). Made more smaller mistakes but also found some controls right on. All in all, I was happy with it and came in 9th out of over 30 women. It can only get better especially with my mistakes and more running training, but here I have to proceed cautiously.

PS. my Garmin is just not charging right anymore and it was empty when I wanted to use it today :'(.

Running 30:00 [2] 4.0 km (7:30 / km) +80m 6:49 / km

Running fast to the start, almost too late, and slowly jogging back from the finish.
