In key largo now and went to the fitness center. Did 20min on the elliptical and 20min on the treadmill. Still feel my ri quad and tight calf from Fridays run!

Canoeing 30:00 [1] 4.0 km (7:30 / km)

Did a special triathlon today: first canoeing on lake myakka near sarratosa fl. First watching the birds,herons,egrets and then I saw an alligator getting in the water just ahead, then a second one. I yelled "stoooop" but Urs wanted to get closer. We did get closer,in fact I heard the one hissing and really knew we were too close. But it passed, and then I saw bubbles everywhere and was sure we were in a flock of gators. I paddled like crazy out into the deeper lake until it was quiet again. Urs just teased me for being such a chicken. Next time,he sits up front!!

Swimming 30:00 [1]

Swimming in the gulf surrounded by 6 pelicans who were practicing their diving skills not far from us. Water was v warm,like 23 degrees.
Yesterday there were dolphins jumping in the water, today there was none.

My first run in 4 months! Wanted to go along the en
D of manasota road as I saw on google that there is a road there. But as we got there a gate destroyed our hope as this was a private road. So we opted to get out along the beach which was beautiful but kind of hard for the first time out. Still, we ran into a wonderful sunset. Was very happy with it.

Ended w 20min yoga stretches on the beach which felt great. Already did a series of slow stretches before breakfast as I had a nagging back pain and tight leg muscles after the long flight. Needed the stretching.

Teaching classes 1:30:00 [2]

Teaching the Tuesday classes; as I was getting ready for my trip to Florida and working late and being up past midnight, I decided that I needed a break and asked the morning class to come in the afternoon. This way I could relax a bit and prepare at a more leisurely pace. In my age category that's allowed now ;-). Still did not get home til 10pm as usual but at home most things were now prepared and ready.

Teach my Monday class of core conditioning and Nw with seniors. Went to harder,animal park and up to pavilion.
