Orienteering race 52:34 [4] 5.77 km (9:06 / km) +202m 7:45 / km

Did a local O-meet and was surprised that 15 women had signed up in my age category!! Took it as a fast training and getting back into orienteering. Surprisingly was leading at the 6th control, then made a few smallish mistakes on the very short legs, and had trouble with the directions towards the end (it was a very flat forest and many had problems with veering off without noticing it) and finished 8th place :-(. Should have taken it more seriously and concentrate to the end.

Another no training day: the weather has changed, cold, rainy, uninviting. Could not get the motivation up today to go for a run or any exercise. Oh well.

Rainy day, did not feel like training or doing anything physical at all. I also still had sore muscles, so that was a good excuse to let them heal.

Teaching my fitness yoga class. Did it ever feel good again to stretch muscles, tendons and ligaments out after such a long break with little exercise at all!
I also felt sore a bit from Tue classes and We downhill running.

NW with a strong group today! We went up to the Schibeflueh and beyond to the bench to look out over the valley when it started raining! Quite hard to come down again as the rocks and roots were so slippery.
Good workout and felt my quads from yesterday's downhill run.

Do lots of stuff at home, unpacking my bag (it arrived one day later), and went running kind of later in the afternoon (the Garmin battery was empty), Went to run up the Gurten and back down. Slower than usual but I am still easing back into training as my muscles and fascia are kind of sore frome the last two days.
Wonderful day.

Teaching classes 1:20:00 [2]

Teaching my 3 fitness classes, the one in the evening the hardest one as usual. Did an overall training targeting all the major muscles groups with free weights, ending with some strength balancing exercises again with the weights.

Came back from Namibia this am (6 am landing!!) and had another vacation day at home, so sweet. Went for a jog late in the afternoon to see how it feels like to jog/run.
Will have to pick up my exercise again as we did almost no exercise at all: running is dangerous in most places we were in Namibia (whatever runs is considered food by many animals).
Lots of sitting in our car, on safari vehicles, at the pool, in the lodges watching incredible sunsets over the desert and indulging in delicious food that was served! The trip was very exciting, we saw 4 of the big 5 (lions, elephants, rhinos and leopards) and many more such as giraffes, zebras, all kinds of antilopes, hyenas (interesting animals!), wild dogs, ostriches, jackals and others.
