Swimming 20:00 [1] 2.0 km (10:00 / km)

Went the last time into the Aare swimming downstream!! We had such a warm/hot weekend that the water warmed up to almost 68 degrees (19.54 C). So much fun, walking up and floating down.
11 AM

Bike O race 47:49 [5] 11.03 km (4:20 / km) +210m 3:58 / km

Another Bike-O race, this time Middle Distance. it went well, we were all appr. 1 min apart, up to 3rd last control I was in 5th place, but turned on the turbo and had besttimes on all the last legs into the finish to end up 3rd! ;-) It amuses me to see that I actually would have a turbo ;-).

Anyway, a good race again with one route choice mistake (probably).

Mountain Biking warm up/down 10:06 [2] 1.95 km (5:10 / km) +56m 4:32 / km

For a change, I Garmin-ed also the way to the start.

Bike O race 1:37:34 [5] 18.99 km (5:08 / km) +573m 4:28 / km

Did the Bike-O Longdistance Champs near Bern (actually the same woods where we had the Night-O Champs end of March). Very good course, with lots of difficult route choices and much up and down and even some little overgrown trails! In between, there were long stretches for hammering those pedals, something I am not good at.
Race went quite well, had to push the bike up some of those steep sections, was pleased with my route choices but not really sure. In fact, i had a bad feeling in the finish and was later very surprised that I had come in second after all (out of 8 women in our class!). Now I was happy and tired.
Tomorrow middle distance.

Running 55:00 [3] 6.2 km (8:52 / km)

Training with Sandra! We walked, jogged to the woodchip track. Did 5 loops for 3 km (5.57, 5.59, 6.15/km) and was very pleased to come in in 18:13. Last time here, I had much longer. I also did the 12min test to see how I fared with women my age and was not in the very good category. Happy with it. Jog-walk back the longer route with Sandra.

Note: my effort on woodchip track was harder than I thought: my legs were talking to me in the evening, especially the calfs from the pushoff. Was worried whether I did too much for tomorrows bike-O race?

Yoga 45:00 [1]

Teaching good yoga class: theme today was back mobilisation and ab stabilisation; did a lot of extending and flexing motions in an opposing flow; felt very good. Some strength involved, too, of course for holding the poses.

Nordic Walking 1:20:00 [2] 6.4 km (12:30 / km) +406m 9:29 / km

Fast Nw group: went to the Beatus Caves and walked on the Pilgrim Trail (used to be one of my running trails when I lived in that area) and went almost to Merligen and back. Good Nordic Walking workout today, no stragglers for a change I had to wait for ;-)!

Running 49:46 [3] 6.23 km (7:59 / km) +236m 6:43 / km

Run the Elfenauloop, not such a good run. For some reason it just did not go well.

Teaching classes 1:30:00 [1]

Teaching-Tuesday 3 core conditioning classes, pretty much the same as yesterday. My abs hurt, all body moves with free weights. Some exercises are quite hard as the evening group is really advanced.

Nordic Walking 45:00 [1] 3.2 km (14:04 / km)

NW in afternoon with my senior group. Went down the Aare and over the wooden covered bridge back to Unterseen and the bakery to celebrate another great birthday!

Teaching classes 30:00 [2]

Teaching my core strengthening class on the fitball and today with free weights. Some exercises on the floor with the legs on the ball, very hard.
