Downhill skiing 2:00:00 [2]

Skiing on a beautiful day on Schilthorn/Mürren. Incredible day after some new snowfall. Life cannot get any better. Skied non-stop from 10 to 1, then again for over 2 hours after lunch. Did a beautiful faceplant, I am curious tomorrow whether I will feel my right shoulder, my right leg and my neck. Hope not, but it got tweaked quite a bit.

Running 48:16 [3] 6.24 km (7:44 / km) +234m 6:31 / km

After another day of rearranging and throwing tons of stuff away, I went running the Elfenau loop. Was not that fast, the legs were dragging. Oh well.

Unspecified 1 [3]

Note: no training, I didn't feel like running or anything, I was cleaning and tidying up all day, getting much accomplished but kind of scared to go running because of the consequences of the fall on Wednesday. It is healing though, the hand is just slightly sprained and very manageable.

Yoga 1:30:00 [2]

I was teaching 2 fitness yoga classes today, int he afternoon a Nordic Yoga class as it was raining and nobody cared to go outside and the participants wished for a yoga class.
Quite intense, and it went very well. However, I can't sit in certain ways because of my coccyx problem. it will take time to heal.

Running 1:09:37 [3] 6.19 km (11:15 / km) +395m 8:32 / km

Had to work today and went running from the hotel up the Harder to the Bleiki meadows. Went ok, did not push, actually, on the uphills, I was following the women's downhill race where Julia Mancuso won and Lara Gut came in second! It was a great distraction but I guess I could have gone a bit faster. Came down straitht on the trail to see how I was doing with it: still kind of hard on my eyes up close, and I am definitely more timid on the rough sections. Orienteering races are coming up fast now!! Actually, 2 National A meets and 2 Swiss Champs!! Why in the world so early in the season?

Actually, did I mention that I kind of fell again coming downhill? I twisted my ankle and it made me sit down a bit fast bracing with my left hand first but hitting a sharp rock with my coccix, uiiiiiiiiiiii, that hurt!!
Evaluation: can't sit comfortably for a few days, my left hand is lightly hurting. Definitely no orienteering for me yet, I would just stumble through the woods. I have to find a solution to this.

Teaching classes 1:30:00 [2]

Teaching 3 classes and the last one, the Nordic Fitness class was, as usual, pretty intense.

Nordic Walking 1:00:00 [1] 4.5 km (13:20 / km) +70m 12:22 / km

Regular Monday classes, first Core conditioning class. I was somewhat shaken up and the class was rather short as one of my participants had a traffic accident on her bike just when she turned into the hotel parking lot. I was called down as she was in and out of consciousness and she clang to my hand (with the hand that turned out later that the thumb was broken!) when I got there. The paramedics and the police were on site as well plus the great crowd around. It later turned out that she "only" banged her head pretty good but her spine was not affected as feared.

Later, I had my Nordic Walking senior class going to Goldswil. Some hills and beautiful warm weather about 58 degrees!
