Beautiful day, ran in a longsleeve shirt, no gloves, no hat, springlike 12 degrees Celsius!
Ran the longer Bremer loop and was 4 min faster again. (Today, I did not miss a lap or punched wrong).

Downhill skiing 1:00:00 [1]

We went skiing in France to find some snow!! Starting in Switzerland and taking the lifts up and over to Avoriaz and Portes du Soleil. We left early, so we could have our first coffee and croissant in the middle of car-free town facing the sun :-). The horse-drawn carriages added to our feeling that "Life sure is good"!!
Skied all day, did an especially deep section with lots of bumps several times. Ended up on the Swiss side again at 5pm.

Running 1:00:42 [3] 6.44 km (9:25 / km) +352m 7:24 / km

I felt like I needed to find another place to run near Berne as everything from the house starts on pavement and in the Bremer woods its hard packed dirt roads, too.
I seem to have the beginning of shinsplints and really sore knees, so I want to do the most to avoid more meniscus problems. I decided to stretch my quads, shins and tops of feet as much as I can and also avoid pavement as much as possible.

Went to the Dentenberg with an O-map. Very nice loop but I had real trouble with the smaller trails. Even though they were still about 1 m wide but had roots and rocks as is normal, but I just can't do that yet, I slow way down as the 2 m ahead of me is still a grey area :'(. Twice, I also went through the woods for a shortcut but that was a bad idea.
The map reading needs to improve as well, because I just can't adjust my head tilt correctly to look down on the trail and the map. I can read the map just fine without my glasses but then I don't see where I put my feet ;-(. Oh well, still need to wait.
On familiar terrain I was doing so great and I thought things were fine, but that was "only" the brain that had adjusted, but unfamiliar areas are still hard on me. No orienteering for me yet, but there are still almost 2 months.... It already has improved so much, this will come, too!
I also twisted my ankle! But it should be ok if I am careful for a week, I guess.

Yoga 45:00 [1]

Good yoga class, I am more sone from running yesterday than usual. Both knees hurt and can't sit on my heels.

Nordic Walking 1:10:00 [2] 6.5 km (10:46 / km)

Thursday NW group; took them to the Lombach and down a bit then through the neighborhoods of Unterseen back.
Today the walking really hurt my knees and shins! Oh rats, was limping at the end as it felt so stiff and unpliable. I know It hurt already after yesterday's run, it was too much pavement and I pushed it a bit. But today was bad.
Tried to stretch extremely like in yoga with sitting on my heels to stretch my shins, the tops of my feet and the quads. Could hold it only for 10 sec the most with a pillow support but felt a release of tension somewhat.

Other than that it was a great day! Christine, my friend from up in Interlaken turned 60 and as a present she received her first grandchild! What a glorious day it was, and so neat to be able to celebrate with her and then with the NWers afterwards with champagne and stuff :-).

Teaching classes 1:00:00 [1]

Teaching 3 classes as always on Tuesdays. Did a circuit training and had to demonstrate and correct a lot. In the evening class I had 8 people two of them were young Canadian hotel guests and they spruced things up a bit! I made them sweat also and they were very pleased with how hard they had to work! Very intense for me too!
