Running 48:17 [3] 7.3 km (6:37 / km) +30m 6:29 / km

a very busy day at home: getting ready for vacations in Portugal leaving tomorrow. Got a run in in the afternoon and did the loop in the Bremer again. I like this loop! Light rain though.

My left side started hurting pretty quickly but only got worse towards the end! Painful hip, hamstring and low back!

Yoga 1:00:00 [2]

Taught my regular Fitness Yoga class. Today, we were very concentrated and fluid motions all through the hour. a very good feeling!

Nordic Walking 1:10:00 [2] 6.5 km (10:46 / km) +90m 10:04 / km

thursday NW group: we went over to the ruins of Unspunnen. Along the way, we checked on the ruins of a riding hall that had gone up in flames Sunday night. It must have been spectacular, it was old with lots of dry wood, and it sounded like an ongoing firework. (Incidently, there were two big fires in the area, one the previous night when a regular house went up in flames. People in Interlaken did not get 2 good night's sleep last weekend!!)

Running 51:27 [3] 8.0 km (6:26 / km) +90m 6:05 / km

I am trying to find a loop in the Dählhölzli and along the Aare that I like, and I think, today I found the combination that has a little of everything. I also go over to the woods on my bike as I just don't like to run too much on pavement and through crowds of people and crossing busy streets.

From entrance Dählhölzli, Elfenau to crossing trails (16.15) to the zigzag trail and back on little trail along the Aare, back on Elfenau slope up to crossing (18.15 for loop and 34.30 total), down again to the Aare and up to the animal park and back.
My back hurt minimally, my left side is still painful: hamstring and hip.

Note: the trail along the Aare was flooded in spots!! Yesterday, in Interlaken, we noticed how high the water was flowing with "Schleusen" sluices or watergates(?) all open. I guess lots of melt water is coming down, and they have to balance the levels of the lakes (Brienz and Thun) so it will not flood down in Bern and beyond. Very tricky!!

Nordic Walking 1:20:00 [3] 7.5 km (10:40 / km) +40m 10:23 / km

Tuesday evening group: we did a long loop to the Lombach, on the Vita Parcours, down to the shooting range, over to the Aare and back. Beautiful evening after a light thunderrain.

I was teaching another two fitness classes today.
