Running 53:05 [3] 9.0 km (5:54 / km) +220m 5:15 / km

Tried running despite my back pain, and it went better than expected. Started at the Beatus Caves and ran on the pilger trail to sundlaunen and beyond and back.
Turnaround 26.01 and 27.04 all uphill back.

Picking up Christoph in Zurich with his 5 bags :-)). Then, we drove to Unterseen, my place to pick up my bed and other stuff for his room in the apartment he shares with 2 women!! (One of them is Seline Stalder, one of the top notch Swiss orienteers)

Good NW with my Thursday group along the Aare and up onto the road bridge, back down the other side and back into U'seen.

Teaching yoga felt really good to my back! Lots of good stretching.

Went to see the Dr yesterday and she suspects a herniated disk! Rats and bullshit. i just wanted a PT prescription for my injured hamstring which, at this point, probably pulls on my back and makes everything out of whack. I was so annoyed and perplexed by the diagnosis. She told me to stay in bed for 4 days, swallow Ibuprofein for the inflammation and come back on Monday.

Today, i went to PT even without a prescription, and he did some ultrasound and massaging which worked well on loosening up my muscle

Was a very busy and tiring day with 2 senior fitness classes and NW in the evening. Went to the Wachtfeuer and back. Fast group and I had trouble following because of my back pain :-(.

Afterwards we had a spaghettata at the Bellini with 4 different sauces (mmhh) and a meeting to plan the events for this year. Did not get home until after 11 pm, a very long working day.

Running 43:30 [3] 9.0 km (4:50 / km) +160m 4:26 / km

Went running over lunch to Lombach, 2nd bridge. My legs felt like lead, my knees hurt and my back ached. Sometimes, after 5 min into the jog, things lign up and calm down, so I pushed on even though the first few minutes were painful. And it really got easier but never good.
23.07 to the bridge and 20.23 back.

Monday Mar 16, 2009 #

Was teaching core classes but as I organised a circuit, I did not take part but gave instructions all the time.

NW with the seniors in the late afternoon. Spring is finally here!! So warm and beautiful :-)

My back hurt a lot in the morning, and it was good I did not do any exercises.
