Orienteering 55:38 [4] 5.2 km (10:42 / km) +95m 9:48 / km

The first National O-meet in similar area as yesterday. The course felt pretty boring, lots of long legs on obvious little roads. After half an hour, I realised that I was getting bored and was "just" running and losing the fire or drive to push hard. It showed on the graph very clearly how I lost time over the last few controls :-(. This was also downhill and through the same kind of underbrush and thornbushes. The last 3 controls I fell from 8th place to 12th place :-(.
However, I could not believe, anybody would run it in 39 minutes!! Even the times of the first 6 are so fast, that I was depressed about it. Lots of work to do for me in regards to speed.

Orienteering 34:46 [5] 3.2 km (10:52 / km) +95m 9:28 / km

Middle Distance Swiss Champs: was 9th in my age group. I ran an even race and could maybe be around 2 min fast without any of the minor mistakes which add up, but I definitely could hardly run any faster at this point. Boy this 55-59 age group is fast!
The woods were kind of fast with underbrush and thorns, the course was fairly easy which made it that a lot of these women ran good times.

Running 52:12 [3] 9.0 km (5:48 / km) +250m 5:06 / km

Even though, there's the middle distance champs tomorrow, I decided to run at lunch anyway. Just easy up to Ruedi's hut. Felt like I needed to air my brain and move my muscles a bit. Again, it was sunny and warm, but tonight the rains are supposed to catch up with us as well.
34.24 up and 17.47 back.

Nordic Walking 1:10:00 [1] 6.0 km (11:40 / km)

Thursday late afternoon NW group: take the slower group and walk to Lombach to 2nd bridge and back.

We have had a beautiful and very sunny day, and it started to get warmer and warmer: the "foehn" or "chinook" was blowing down from the Alps whereas only half an hour away which was most of Switzerland they had a grey, rainy day with sometimes torrential downpours! Amazing, how that works sometimes .
Sandra, do you "hear" me? I am sure you ran around in the rain today, didn't you ;-))?

Yoga 50:00 [2]

Teach the morning yoga class: good flow and about 20 min of power moves!

Running 47:55 [2] 7.0 km (6:51 / km) +70m 6:31 / km

Evening easy running with Manuela (she just starts out with running and has a tremendous cold, so we were not pushing it).

Strength 45:00 [1]

Teach evening conditioning class very similar to Monday's but with a tad more weight for me and more core exercises.

I was teaching the morning yoga class to the seniors which always feels so good, it is very easy on me but the gentle stretches and slow moves feel great also.

Running 41:03 [3] 9.0 km (4:34 / km) +130m 4:15 / km

Run the Gnome-Sheep-Trail over lunch. Again, my head full of other things which meant that I ran fast, in fact the fastest ever on this loop!
I am pleased, of course.
But I am not pleased with Swiss politics and the blunt and non-sensitive way of one short-sighted but very strong Swiss party to ask a woman politician to give up her job. I see parrallels to China's politics and the way they hold on to Tibet and the Olympic Flame that is protested wherever it goes through.

Nordic Walking 1:10:00 [2] 7.0 km (10:00 / km) +120m 9:13 / km

Leading my Tuesday evening Nordic Walking class: walk over to the Ruins of Unspunnen and back through the Kleiner Rugen. Nice evening and lots of fun with the group and some teasing ;-)).
