Hiking 2:17:40 [1] 7.75 km (17:46 / km) +265m 15:11 / km

Easy hike with a group of Bernese friends (and their friends unknown to us) from train station Boudry up to Champs des Moulins along the Areuse and through the impressive gorge.
Ny bacj us getting better every day, but this was entirely different and so much longer. Took some of the weight off as I was hikiing with the poles.
Very nice way to spend New Year's Eve (in the end at dinner in Fleurier and then for midnight in downtown Neuchâtel. Didn't get home until 2 am with a fairly dizzy head and somewhat frozen.).

Running 46:42 [2] 4.28 km (10:54 / km) +147m 9:18 / km

Tried a little jog again into the Gorge de l'Areuse to check out about ice on the trails as it would be dangerous for our planned hike tomorrow. But no ice, just slippery rocks or roots.
I figured that my pain must come from an out-of-place SI-joint. With all the stretches and exercises I've done the last few days, the pain has narrowed down to the top of the hip/pelvic bone and is now a specific sore spot. Still, I have trouble on the flat or downhill parts. Need to continue with what I have been doing. (And, hopefully, I have been right?)

Jogging 43:33 [3] 4.78 km (9:06 / km) +37m 8:46 / km

Trying to run again after 2 days of rest and lots of stretches. But after 1 km, the pain on my right side came back at once this time, however, a lot higher in the quad and high up on the hip. Cannot put strength into the leg so its more of a shuffle. Tried various types of ground and the wood chip track felt easiest. Pain was manageable not like on Tuesday.
Still wondering whether its the SI-joint out of alignment or the hip joint.
Stayed home and out in the fog. So unfair, only 10 min away and 400 m higher the sun is shining.

Running 1:02:40 [0] 5.62 km (11:09 / km) +431m 8:04 / km

Escaped the fog and fast-walked up to the top of Chaumont out of the clouds into a beautiful sunny day with an impeccable view onto the Alps. In fact, they were so close and so high and so clear, it was magical. Urs picked me up a little earlier than planned and we went up to the tower to watch the sunset and beautiful lights and colors of the sinking sun onto the snow-covered Alps.

I had to stop earlier as a nagging, small pain in my right quad kept resurfacing and getting more and more painful. At one point, I noticed that I was severely limping. Not sure whether it comes from my back (lack of stretching these last weeks) or, horror, pain from my hip? Never felt a pain like that radiating down my right quad, hurting all over the hip-joint motion or simply my back being out of alignment? Always hoping it will go away my magic some day. Because running is impossible like that.

Walking 1:15:57 [1] 3.6 km (21:07 / km) +99m 18:33 / km

Up high snow has accumulated and some places the cross-country ski tracks were done. But I didn't have my skis back yet as I supported a youngster from a school's skiing team to wax our skis.
So I went for a snow walk with Urs but it was kind of rough as no winter walking trails were groomed yet. It's not my favorite activity but at least we were up in the sun having escaped the fog. It was cold with a slight wind, just perfect powder weather.

Aquajogging 45:00 [2]

I went to Zurich to visit a friend and she took me to 45 min of aqua fitness which turned out that evening an aqua jogging class. I felt my legs moving almost non-stop and also felt my knee not liking it! But overall it was ok and it felt well to my body that had to move in all 3-dimensional ways.

Running 54:36 [3] 6.49 km (8:25 / km) +61m 8:02 / km

Running home again from Sandra's place. Felt better than in a long time. Down to the lake which was high (oh yes, it had rained all weekend!) and with waves almost up to the shore where I went through. Again doing the 141 steps at the end besides SESCOL (middle school).

Running 1:06:35 [3] 8.48 km (7:51 / km) +69m 7:33 / km

Starting out with Sandra who was pushing the stroller with 3-year old Lena in it chatting together all the way. We zig-zagged down the hill when eventually she had to climb the hill again and I went down to Auvernier and the lake. It went intermittently well for me, once, I could run comfortably, then I had a crisis and the legs would not lift anymore. Took the 141 stairs besides the school uo again walking first then kicking myself to at least a jogging up.
