Tried this just for fun on my new Garmin (Vivofit) watch. Don't know how it measured but I was actually out for a little over 2 hours as I only had a ticket for 2 hours.
Nice, little ski area in the Jura in Les Savagnières 30 min from home.

Ski touring 44:46 [2] 3.1 km (14:28 / km) +126m 12:01 / km
ahr:99 max:124

Tried my (new) ski touring equipment as I wasn't really sure how to get in the binding, change from skiing to walking, etc., as i had forgotten and it actually was a bit tricky, Urs had to help. Also needed to readjust the new shoes. This set is so light and easy to climb with, it's a joy. (But as we had no snow last year, I didn't even use them once.) However, I realized that we had forgotten the skins ;'-/)), and I decided to climb anyway as the snow was pretty warm and sticky. It was fun to do it and get the feel for ski touring again.
I could change back into skiing mode and went back down, but I had to adjust the technique as these skis are built differently than the alpine carving skis I used before when taking the lifts. Fun though.

PS: forgot to stop the watch!

Skateskiing 1:11:40 [3] 9.02 km (7:57 / km) +192m 7:11 / km
ahr:116 max:150

Skate skiing in the thickest of fog. Just on the highest point the sun shone through a little teensy bit. It had snowed 15 cm yesterday, but the snow was soft, so the push-offs were pretty hard, so I worked much on the uphills, and the downhills the snow was really slow, so I had to double pole as well.
I had planned to go to Mont Racine, but it wasn't tracked so I made some loops on this side which meant almost all either up- or downhill, nothing flat.
But I liked it anyway, it was mythical in the fog, luckily the tracks were visible to follow.

Running 45:43 [3] 5.91 km (7:44 / km)
ahr:141 max:159

Run quickly from home in light rain up to Planeyse, did the loop around the whole area then 2x1 km on the wood chip track. Was 1 min slower than last year but I couldn't go any faster. Strong headwind on the slight downhill but was easier on the uphill part. Felt good.

PS: somehow the track didn't show the start from the house, but the total distance seems accurate.

Slow skating with a ski-O map for Marc's mom's birthday trying to go to "controls" which had a picture of an event in her life. I had not much energy and took it easy. It was also quite hard, deep tracks, very strong headwind all the way up. But it was a warm wind. I am happy that it was possible at all to skate but the snow has suffered from all the storms and pounding rain last Tuesday. Hopefully, it will snow soon for us, too. The Alps have 3-4 meters of it, they could easily share some of it ;-).
Birthday party and dinner up on Vue-des-Alpes afterwards.

Yoga 45:00 [1]

Another very good yoga class with our sub teacher which was great for my aching muscles and connective tissues which always seem to hurt. Felt so light afterwards walking home.
In fact, what hurt me most was my toes, which sometimes seem to have arthritis pain in it. It's really quite common I was told after I didn't know what kind of pain it was. Rats, i'm getting so old................. and decrepit :'-/)
10 AM

Running 53:38 [3] 6.26 km (8:34 / km) +68m 8:08 / km
ahr:137 max:158

After a day of pouring rain and record snowfall in the Alps (record for 7 days snow fall ever!) and heavy rain for most of the lowlanders including us and the Jura. Floods and landslides are now covering lots of train tracks and roads, traffic in the Alps is somewhat a mess.
Anyway, sorry, started my sentence wrong, so here it is: after a day of pouring rain, the sun came out today and I squeezed in a run before yoga (and then babysitting) and decided to check out the loop along the river Areuse and along the lake. The river really came very high, in fact, where there is a lock, the water just flowed over it, and some stretches of the trail were flooded. It was impressive. The lake is also high, but it's such a big lake (the biggest completely within the Swiss borders) so nothing was flooded.
The same as on Sunday: a tough start, but then overall the time was actually quite good. Still my legs felt heavy and slow.
The following yoga class took care of my tightness in muscles and connective tissues.

Running 58:35 [3] 7.25 km (8:05 / km) +94m 7:35 / km
ahr:132 max:151

Running in a weather break with some wind and slight rain; more was in the forecast. First, didn't know where to go, so I ventured up to Planeyse and decided I wanted nothing hard and actually prefer paved roads so I did my figure-8 loop and then some, as I was faster than expected. The first 2 km I was dragging and had no speed nor strength, but that got better and better. Came back quite happy. Wet though from the rain.

Running 48:36 [0] 5.25 km (9:16 / km) +172m 7:57 / km
ahr:133 max:163

Went out on my loop in the woods just before another storm was going to get worse. A lot of new trees are down, at one place 3 at a time. Had to do some detours and one time some climbing through the branches but fell and had trouble getting back up ;-/).
Not particularly fast but glad I could go out after the two storm "Evi", then "Friedericke" with very strong gale-force winds and rain and no running as too dangerous or too wet. Unfortunately, the storms mostly come from the west with warm temperatures, so the Jura which is only between 1000 - 1300 m high, lots of times rain is falling into snow.

Running 1:00:10 [2] 7.18 km (8:22 / km) +94m 7:52 / km
ahr:134 max:167

Run home from SaMarc's house in the dark after dropping of MattiLena. It's the second day of a storm with high winds, snow, rain, whatever, and a third will follow tomorrow. The streets up in Cormondrèche were covered with verglas and didn't know which way I wanted to go first, downhill was very treacherous. So I opted for up and then found a good little road down, then through the vineyards and further down to the lake. Was not particularly fast but felt good to be out and about. Had sand in my shoes from running along "our" sand beach ;-).

Yoga 1:00:00 [2]

Good yoga class, repeated and held every pose for 10 breaths. Thought I had to abandon some of the poses, but with time (and breaths) it became easier.
However, a day later, I really had sore muscles in my triceps from planks, then changing from dogs (up/down) to plancks and back. Long hour but very good.

Running 55:54 [3] 6.3 km (8:52 / km) +91m 8:17 / km

Run home after dropping off Matti and Lena and Sandra's place. I noticed that by that time, 5 pm, the light is much longer present than before Christmas. I did need the headlamp though in the woods. But I also opted to take the bigger forest roads as lots of broken trees were obstructing the smaller trails. Still, I had to do some scrambling after all.
Felt good running, and mostly on the downhill parts, I could do 7:28, 7:15 and 7:05/km times which was good for me.

Yoga 30:00 [1]

Regular yoga class with a substitute and the vinyasa part was much shorter. But lots of good stretches and relaxations.

Running 59:11 [3] 5.68 km (10:25 / km) +224m 8:42 / km
ahr:113 max:141

Very tired and fighting with an eye infection (some type of conjunctivitis, but not the very contagious one). So I was motivating myself in looking for some trails I didn't know yet which were also kind of flatish.
I started in Bôle along the railroad tracks and then took a trail which went slightly uphill and then steeply up to the train station of Chambrelien. From there, I closed the loop back down and parallel further down (under the rail road tracks back to the car. The view into the Val de-Travers and the Gorge de l'Areuse was great. There are lots of rock faces in those parts, it's a wild area. Just the right thing for my explorations.

Skateskiing 1:06:43 [3] 10.04 km (6:39 / km) +73m 6:25 / km
ahr:118 max:138

Felt sick this morning w upset stomach, so I went back to bed, then stretched and finally, energy came back. Decided to do something easy, not running, so I opted to go to La Sagne as it said that they had still some tracks open. And I know they are mostly flat. It really was just what I needed, the tracks were rather bad, no grooming for several days and the rain had made the snow very uneven, so I had more trouble on the slight downhill double poling to the end. Coming back up with skating technique was then much easier. There were always little gaps in the snow where running water was finding its way underneath across or big areas of flooded grass and mud. It was interesting, but I felt much better at the end.

Running 57:49 [3] 6.4 km (9:02 / km) +107m 8:20 / km
ahr:132 max:166

Finally could get out for a run after a very stormy day and the following day with torrential rains. And, I had no motivation or energy to venture outside.
So today, after bringing back Matti and Lena after they're having breakfast with us with the 3-kings bread, I ran back home. It felt slow, but I was happy to see that it was under an hour.
In the woods, I had lots of stops as there were so many trees down, it was unbelievable! That this storm "Brunhilde" could actually shatter 30m high, healthy fir trees. I was also amazed how shallow the root system of those tall trees are.
It was obvious to me why one shouldn't be in the woods with those gale force winds. And we have had quite many of those storm winds these last 3 weeks which fell already many other trees. But the last one was up there on the Swiss scale (it also upturned a wagon of a rolling train, and several trucks on the highway, and each probably weighed several tons!).

Classic x-c skiing 1:02:22 [2] 7.89 km (7:54 / km) +88m 7:29 / km
ahr:100 max:125

Very strange conditions with strong Westwind, so I put on another wind breaker. As I didn't know the area, I was confused a lot, consulted my map a few times which didn't help much most of the times. I guess that they tracked more loops or variations than was indicated. Stopped a lot to get my bearings but was off by 90 degrees, too. Lost my momentum and actually much of the joy partly probably because my leg muscles felt tired and with not finding a regular rhythm, I soon lost interest. I don't like all these loops. Don't know whether I'll return to that area.
The end, the car, on the other side came way too soon, thought that on the map it said 3 km, but was there early. Again, that parking on the map was not where it showed on the map. Strange. And annoying for orienteers.

Quick run in the woods where it was very wet and muddy, meaning slippery. Still unnaturally warm. We're having on/off rainstorms with high SW winds. I wonder how those cross-country ski tracks are doing.
