Orienteering race 49:35 [4] 4.95 km (10:01 / km) +102m 9:05 / km

Running the Coupe Neuchâteloise of our club ANCO. Doing "only" the medium easy, and it really was easy technically for me. But enjoyed it anyway and took it as a good training.

Running 2:56 [0] 0.32 km (9:02 / km) +6m 8:16 / km

Mountain Biking 52:15 [3] 9.79 km (5:20 / km) +191m 4:52 / km

Quick "hill training" on a tired day. But my 29'' mtbike was left in the car and in Berne, so I took my other mtbike with 26'' tires and I really felt the difference. Cut it short to get back home.

Hiking 2:20:17 [2] 9.95 km (14:06 / km) +237m 12:36 / km

Slow hiking with friends who happened to visit. The jonquilles were out in a field of yellow. SO beautiful!
Well, it was not really what I wanted to do on an off-day, needed to train and get stuff done at home. Hmm.

Running 10:33 [2] 1.04 km (10:06 / km) +9m 9:41 / km

Warm-up to the start. My body, muscles and bones work so much easier together now that they have been adjusted back to where they are supposed to be. It is a joy to jog, but still have to take it easy as new places seem to work that haven't been used for months as other areas seemed to have compensated.

Orienteering race 41:53 [5] 4.28 km (9:46 / km) +43m 9:18 / km

Middle Champs in a very competitive age group.

Orienteering race 49:28 [5] 4.36 km (11:21 / km) +103m 10:09 / km

Despite the trauma from last weekend, I decided to give it a try to see how my back would hold up. And it did! Yipee. It still hurt but the motion of running/jogging was free and I also had my head together, most times. Had a rough start with another 90degree problem after 3 to 4 where I lost 3 min. Afterwards, I caught up from 12th to 11th until I finally finished as 5th/15. Coming back, we had to stay in a steep slope and the controls were all on the same height, and I orienteered straight to the flags, it was such a joy to realise it's still there. Good training for the Middle Champs next Saturday!

Jogging 46:07 [2] 4.81 km (9:35 / km) +34m 9:16 / km

On Thursday, I went to see an osteopath and she showed me pretty quickly that my right side SI-joint was completely blocked. She loosened it up and checked and loosened other places, too. It was a "miracle", it felt like such a relief, finally. She showed me stretches, also for the piriformis who was still hurting from the massage a week ago. With new hope I went home then and let it rest.

Friday morning, I went to my yoga class and she chose to do some long and intense stretches which was not the best for my back who felt inflamed. After it calmed down, I chose Friday evening to try out my back and went for a slow jog (shuffle??) around Planeyse. It still hurt but the leg motion out of the pelvis was free and without constraint. Quite happy. Let it rest some more to get the inflamation down.

Running 45:27 [2] 3.62 km (12:34 / km) +7m 12:26 / km

We all went out with Matti and Lena to "train" for the upcoming Tour du Canton that the kids will run in again. First, did 400 m without stopping with both kids. Then, we did a relay, each one of us ran for 100 m then tagged off the next one. But Matti protested as there was no competitor, so we did 2 teams of 2 doing each 200 m: it was Lena and Urs against Matti and me: when I was starting together with Lena, I held back a little for her not to lag behind too much and motivate her to keep running, then I tagged off to Matti who had to battle Urs who had really go to his limit to follow Matti! This 6-year old has become fast in the short sprint ;-0).
Then we switched teams, Lena and I against the "boys": Lena and Urs started and Lena decided she had enough, walked, then cut across the grass, so she tagged me off before Urs reached Matti; I sprinted the slightly uphill but soon heard Matti coming up behind, and I couldn't help laugh that this little guy was already so fast! He passed me and I caught up with him again and then he sprinted into the finish as Nonno and Lena cheered him on. What fun.
