Today, no skiing, the weather changed every minute from dense fog to some sun and lots of wind. So we headed home in the afternoon.
Went for a run in the Brember and did my loop. For the first time under 50 minutes again!! :-). But, for the first time, too, there was almost no ice nor snow left.

Downhill skiing 2:00:00 [1]

We went to Mürren for a Mini-vacation Friday afternoon and luckily, Saturday was an incredible day: we took the first gondola up on the Schilthorn to enjoy breakfast in the revolving 360o restaurant. A beautiful site in front Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau and many more.
Then, we skied the freshly groomed slopes (it was closed till 10 am) and could not stop until 4 pm with a short brake in the sun at 2. My legs were trembling from effort when we got back and my knee was complaining a lot as well. We soothed it with a visit to the sauna.
Sun all day and howling windstorm all night.

Went for a run in the morning beween rain showers!! From the recycle station (I usually drive/ride there to avoid too much running on pavement), to zigzag trail and along Aare.

NW just before it started to rain. Harder loop and through Goldswil back. Very warm up here (8 degrees!) because of the Föhn!!

Teaching Yoga class; quite good flow and lots of different asanas. Sweat was running!! (after months of very cold temps where we are holding the class, this was a nice change!)

Do Dählzölzli - small loop (first zigzag trail). For the first time in many months I felt like I had started running again. Wow, a good feeling. Knee swells up as usual but felt not bad. Ground pretty wet and most of ice is gone.
And... after a soso day, I chose to go running when it started raining!! As if I had missed the rain ;-(. Stupid!

Teaching the core strengthening class with some leg strength as well.

later, did the NW class for seniors and we went towards the Lombach and Vita Parcours, nice and warm, no hat nor gloves!!

Went up to the Niederhorn to walk a bit and enjoy the sunshine!

Then sledding down to Vorsass, i was sooo scared :'(.

On the way home, I went running on the Pilgrim Trail along the Lake of Thun from Sundlauenen to Merligen. Very nice!

Went running in pouring rain!! There was still a lot of slippery ice, and I had to do a lot of walking. But it was fun to be out in warmer weather again!

lead another snowshoetour. From First up to Bachalpsee then down to Waldspitz and Bort. Very fun group!

Did the Bremer loop again and felt much faster. Well, it still is not the time I used to run it last year, but it is better than in January. And I felt "lighter", more like running than a lethargic turtle.
Ground was easier to run on, too, fresh and now hardpacked snow has covered all the ice.

went for a run in Dählhölzli and to first zigzag and back. For the first time, running felt kind of light and easier! Is there hope?? the knee usually swells up immediately after the start but calms down appr. 20 min into a run.

Roadbiking 35:00 [3]

After all this birthday stress ;-) i felt absolutely beat. Slept until 10 am and had another nap in pm!! Missed going outside for a run. Did the roadbike on rollers instead. 4x4 min pick-ups but they were kind of lame. Did 15 min of mini trampoline and proprioception training.

NW with my Thursday group: went down the Aare over wooden bridge and loop around the hospital, back mittlere street and to Michel's coffee shop yet for another birthday coffee and sweets.

Good yoga class; my right knee hurt quite a bit from skate skiing mostly it cracks a lot between the heads of tibia and fibula. Lots of friction and very tight fascia. Rats, it does not seem to get any better :-(.

Went skateskiing with Sandra at the end of Val de Ruz. beautiful place, very serene, but incredibly cold. I felt very lethargic and could not push it but only enjoyed it at a moderate pace.

Went from Doris's place to the airfield and to Wilderswil and back. Chose a loop again that had as little icy roads and trails as possible.
Afterwards we celebrated my birthday with spaghetti and champagne!

Tried to choose a loop that wasn't so icy: went down the Aare over the wooden bridge and through Unterseen neighborhood to a coffee shop to celebrate my bd of tomorrow.

Ran the loop in the Bremer again. Trails are very icy, my icebugs weren't even gripping!! Knees and muscles had to do a lot of stabilising.
Had average of 7:30min/km plus the hills. Tried to keep the pace throughout as 2 weeks ago I really tired out at the end.

Ran from home along the Aare to trail across up to Egghölzli. Back down Elfenau and up to check on lynxes. At the end shortcut up the 100 steps to the Monbijoubridge near home.

Missed the right moment to go outside and run. Then, it started to snow, very wet snow and the sidewalks were all slushy. Decided to hop on the bike on rollers instead. 4x4min pick-ups with 3 min rest.

NW with seniors to Brienzersee. Nice scenery but snowing a little. Very cold.

Did roadbiking on rollers in the evening with 4x4 min pick-ups. Good trianing!
