Orienteering (Wyangala Dam) 25:26 [3] 2.63 km (9:40 / km) +93m 8:13 / km

Only contour training. The map had on contours and the main road, but no tracks.
Only made one mistake, going up a parallel gully. I took the wrong direction off a spur and hit the wrong gully and wasn't concentrating enough till I reached the top of the gully and realised I was too far across.

Orienteering (Roseberg State Forest ) 27:18 [3] 2.92 km (9:21 / km) +41m 8:44 / km

Control picking.
This area of the map was pine forest, I found it rather easy to navigate through. Only one control that I made a mistake due to distractions and just lost concentration as I saw people running to a place where they thought the control and it wasn't there. Once I cleared my head and stopped looking at others I found it easily and regained my concentration.

Orienteering (Roseberg State Forest ) 31:48 [3] 3.66 km (8:41 / km) +72m 7:55 / km

Bush interval training.
A short course pushing for three to four controls and then have a compulsory rest. I rested for about 2 minutes at each rest point. It was hard to push as hard as suggested as there was lots of fallen timber making stability hard when pushing hard. No mistakes made, controls were easy enough to find.

Compass Training
This was just a bit of a warm-up run while everyone was arriving to the training camp. Didn't face any difficulties, hit some controls a little to the right but it was easy to check that and I probably only lost a couple of seconds. Just needed to watch my bearing a little.
