Got up early and Attackpointed. Then, rode with Mikkel to
the event at Joaquin Miller.
I
won, but had a pretty bad run. I felt strong physically, and my emotional issues may be just about over. But, I fell and completely lost concentration for a nasty mistake at Control 2, then twisted my ankle twice. Mostly recovered by the end and nailed a key leg to #10, both route choice and execution.
Joe S. had predicted 19 minutes for a 100-pt runner. I think it was more like mid-16s for this course. Of course, the 100-pt runner would have probably made some of the many mistakes Mikkel, Mattias, and I made. I was happy that I came and ran—a needed O-refresher before the 1000 Day.
