P90X Plyometrics-X. This is week 5 of the Plus program. The Tuesday cardio for the next 3 weeks is back to Plyometrics. This was the first I did this workout in several week and I got thru it although I did feel like I was working very hard. The Plus workouts are definitely doing the job.

We went back out and did the loop we were going to do on Saturday at Patapsco. Kevin's cramp did not reappear. The weather was fantastic for November and trails were not too muddy. It was a great ride!

Short mountain bike ride at Patapsco Avalon area with Kevin, Mike and others. We had just got started and were on the second climb when Kevin got a cramp in his leg and could not continue. We pedaled back thru Cantonsville CC and were on our way home for the day.

P90X Chest, Shoulder & Triceps workout. I had forgotten how tough this workout is. This is the workout for the recovery week of the P90X Plus. I was able to keep up pretty well meaning the Plus workouts are doing the job.

Mountain biking at McKeldin with Tania and Kevin on absolutely perfect November day. This was fun because everytime we did not clean a hill it was back down and then back up until we got it. It was slippery with lots of leaves. Not too tough for Kevin but I had a few I where I had to go back and ride up again. Very good workout.

Mountain biking at Patapsco Orange Grove area with Kevin and Andrew. It was wet but not that muddy considering it has been raining for 3 days. The leaves were keeping the mud down but they were slippery. Great ride!

P90X Upper Body +. This is a very hard workout. I still am not able to keep up and this was the 4th time I've done this workout.

Bike to work and home. A nice day to ride but a little windy on the way home. I almost wiped out when I ran over something big on the road on the way home. I never saw what it was (probably a rock) but it threw my front wheel off line and I starting wobbling badly. My arm slipped off and got hooked under the handlebars. But I held it steady and kept the bike upright. It would have been bad if I went down because I was going around 20 MPH and there was car behind me and I could have fallen in front of it.

P90X Yoga. I have not done the entire yoga workout for a few weeks so this was tough. I had not eaten for several hours so was bonking during yoga! That's not easy to do.

Bike to and from work today. On my way to work I stopped in downtown Columbia for a meeting of cycling advocates led a visiting mayor. Then the group did a short ride on the local trails. For the most part, I did not agree with how they were riding because they were riding on sidewalks and crossing streets at crosswalks. This was because many riders are not comfortable riding on the road. But we were riding along side streets with hardly any traffic. We should have been on those streets instead of the sidewalk. I think a cyclist has a right to the road just as much as cars and we should take that right. Of course a cyclist needs to obey the rules of the road and I usually do but will take advantage of my bike to get around cars safely when I can. I peeled off the ride at about half way and continued on to work.

P90X Total Body Plus. Holy cow this is a hard workout! Who thinks up these crazy moves? Each one of them works multiple parts of the body at the same time. I could not keep up with this killer workout.

P90X Plus Upper Body workout. This was so hard this week I had to press pause a few times. That's what I get for skipping a week.

Running 27:16 [4] 3.46 mi (7:53 / mi)

Treadmill run. Did the 5K program on level 5 (8MPH). It was too easy so I increased the speed manually to up to 9MPH for parts of the program.
