Today we walked Montezuma falls trail. This was an out and back walk, part of the 18km rail trail between the car park and Melba Bend. The trail is wide, has A very gentle grade, ( feels almost flat) and passes through lovely forest. At the falls there's a suspension bridge that would be challenging with a bike.

Visited the Mt Tyndall plateau. A lovely almost pristine alpine area dotted with lakes, boulders, cliffs, etc. The climb was quite steep; we used gaiters for the first time in ages, because the first part of the climb was through button grass and associated mud.
We walked to the top of Mt Owen today for an explore. Access was via the long steep slog up and down the roadthe gravel road. We had a fascinating time admiring the views and the conglomerate boulders across the top.

We climbed Mt Murchison today. It's a beautiful mountain, and we walked through lovely tea tree forest for the first third of the ascent. The next third was like walking through a garden.
