orienteering (Easter Day 2) 59:12 [5] **** 7.46 km (7:56 / km)
shoes: Treksta Nestfit

Today the goal was to minimise errors, like yesterday. The terrain was very runnable, different from yesterday; not so steep & not so rocky. I wanted to run and took off after a younger person whom I'd convinced myself was doing the same course. I lost map contact and took a long time relocating, then running back to control 6 which I'd missed. Some very vague terrain. I sprinted the remaining legs against Debbie Davey and we would have had some fast splits. My time was overall slow because of that 21min leg. I went from 7th to 10th place. Quite typical for me.

orienteering (Easter Day 1) 49:07 [4] ***** 4.57 km (10:45 / km)
shoes: Treksta Nestfit

Intense middle distance style event on very rough shaley and steep terrain with scattered low mallee trees and eroded watercourses. Not much route choice and much of it was impossible to run on. Enjoyable. The drive to the event involved the longest stretch of powdery bulldust that I've ever experienced; 200 cars in convoy. Imagine the dust!

Step into Life group 1:00:00 [3] 5.7 km (10:32 / km)
shoes: Brookes Glycerins

Spent the hour doing interval sprints of varying distances. Good way to get rid of stiffness from Monday's session.

Tuesday Mar 31, 2015 #

run 24:30 [3] 4.16 km (5:53 / km)
shoes: Brookes Glycerins

Lunchtime run in Castlemaine. Ran to the botanical gardens, around once, then back to work.

Step into Life group (Fitness evaluation) 1:00:00 [3] 2.0 km (30:00 / km)
shoes: Brookes Glycerins

Ran 2km in 9:29; managed some pb's: 22 push ups ( I've been practicing these nearly daily and it has paid off); 35shoulder presses with 5kg each side.

orienteering (Course setting) 1:10:00 [1] 3.0 km (23:20 / km)
shoes: Innovate roclite318

Visited the last 3 control sites at Sedgwick. Very steep country; practiced my 4WD skills to get along the nearby track.
