orienteering 1:28:25 [4] 8.04 km (11:00 / km)
shoes: innov8

This was a really good event today. State series orienteering near Creswick. Ran the W35 age class, with Prue and Louise. Started just before them, but was passed on the way to the first control when I stuffed up on the navigation. Lovely complex gold mining terrain. I made lots of errors and actually ran more than 2km extra to get around my course. Saw Louise at control 3 again, and then didn't see either Louise or Prue for the remainder of the course. I was positive that I'd been well and truely passed on the long leg, because I went off course. Pushed myself to keep running through the pine plantation even though I was really tired. This course was really good. Orienteering doesn't get much better than this...

Did the full MacKenzie (7 hills) with Neil. After that we picked lots of apples in the Virginia hill area. Stewed apples, apple strudel, apple pie, etc.....

Went for a jog after work along the creek. Quicker pace than usual, felt fine.
