Stretch session

MTB ride 1:17:08 [2] 14.56 km (5:18 / km)

Cycled to meet Louise, Di and Di's daughter at the tennis centre. We rode along the path past the Peppercorn Farm and out to the Schweppes centre via Long Gully. We took the gravel back road to Specimen Gully Rd where Di and Kerrie continued to their home in Maiden Gully. Louise and I rode back to my place for lunch. Shortish ride, but pleasant.

Great stretch session.

orienteering 1:01:25 [4] **** 6.83 km (9:00 / km)
shoes: Innov8 bright

Neil organised a hagaby style event today on the New Saint Mungo. It was a fun event and I became confused a couple of times when navigating. There are many tracks which you have to use in places because the regrowth since the black Saturday fire is very thick. The tracks are curved and it's easy to be confused. I made a 180 degree error at one stage and asked a colleague for my location.....

orienteering 51:09 [3] 5.87 km (8:43 / km)

Event at ironstone hill. The course used pivot controls and had us running loops. Unfortunately I was disqualified because I missed one control out of 17. My knee was very sore and I was thinking more about the pain than the orienteering....

Late starter for Parkrun this morning. I kept my own time while doing the normal route.

orienteering 41:09 [2] 3.97 km (10:22 / km)
shoes: Black innovates

Score event on the Birds Reef map, with the Kangaroo Flat bot gardens used for the assen
Moly and closer controls. I only visited the closest 18 controls out of 29, and didn't run much. Also visited the toilet en route, so this was not a competitive effort on my behalf.

Step into Life group (Fitness evaluation) 1:00:00 [3]

I needed a rest day, but this was my first opportunity to start back at Step into Life after time away. It was a fitness evaluation. My knees were feeling sore and tired, so I went slow on the 2km time trial, the weighted squats were hard, and my form showed up in the sprints repetitions.
