Friday after work run; the purpose was to unwind from the week. I find that a run is a great winding down thing to do.

Rode to work with 4 others from Bendigo to Castlemaine; this was a special ride - Chris Walters' last ride to work. Her contract has ended and the organisation cant extend it further. Pity, she's a wonderful person to work with and has been fabulous for the organisation.

Cardio session today which involved quite a bit of running. Felt great heading out with a tail wind; coming back with a head wind was hard.

Three of us set out on the razorback ridge from Mt Hotham to Mt Feathertop, but Neil had to retreat after 3km with very sore feet (plantar fasciitis). He hobbled back to the car and drove down to Harrietville and Judy and I proceeded on to the summit of Feathertop and then descended via the Bungalow Spur to meet Neil in Harrietville. Classic walk that anyone who is able should try to do in their life. The Bungalos spur track has deteriorated significantly with the fires 2 years ago. It is much narrower and rougher than I remember and eroded down the hillside in many more places than it used to.

Walked much of teh Mt Buffalo plateau circuit walk, with a shorter option because a large snake across the path didn't want to be disturbed and numbers in our group insisted that we turn around instead of trying to get the snake to move away. Later in the walk we saw 3 other snakes on the path, only had to wait until one moved away; the other 2 were in the process of getting out of our way when we saw them.
This is a lovely place to walk, but mid summer it obviously has its disadvantages. Although it wouls be wonderful to run this loop, I would not recommend a mid summer run; maybe autumn or spring.

Went for a lovely jog with Ilka on Mount Macedon this morning. It was fresh and cool and the track felt steeper than when I was on it last. We took our time and then finished up with lunch at the local cafe.

Ran to the power flex stetching session this morning at the lake. Walked home with a cup of coffee afterwards. Beautiful morning!

Rode to Judy's, then we rode a loop through Kangaroo Gully, Hollidays Rd, Mandurang, Spring Gully, then over Burns St to Golden Square and back to KF via Ham St. Nice afternoon for a ride (My confidence on the bike is not very good, so I needed some pratice).

We did the full MAcKenzie Rowan, but in reverse, so we had the flatter bit at the end (this is the pathetic route direction, just for Friday evenings). Phew, puffed and sweated a lot!

Ran with a group from Step into Life, from the lake to Rosalind Park where we started hill reps. One of the group members fainted, so we had a subdued run back to the lake while Mick etc got the car and transported her back. She recovered quickly.

Sooo hot and muggy this evening! we took it a bit easy but persisted slowly. Phew! Glad I went, because I'd been feeling quite sore from Monday's double session.

First tone up for the year. used 3kg weights because I need to be careful of my fractured rib. It was ok this morning. This was the first 9:15am session for me. I'm usually at work at that time of day. Aiming to fit another session in this afternoon.

Sunday morning group session. Had a choice of running or doing the group kick box session. The run won (my rib is still sore). We just ran down and up the creek track. Had a nice coffee with 4 others afterwards.
