run 30:31 [3] 5.25 km (5:49 / km)
shoes: Asics Torano3

Local street / creek run before the temperature rose too high.

Thursday Dec 30, 2010 #

run 49:03 [3] 8.3 km (5:55 / km)
shoes: Asics Torano3

Ran down the creek to weeroona college and home. Beautiful morning to be jogging, knowing that I have the day off work....

Tuesday Dec 28, 2010 #

Bushwalk 3:00:00 [2] 9.0 km (20:00 / km)

Today we had a tough bash through thick forest and rugged rocky ground in the Grampians for 2 hours, until we reached our destination track. In addition to the ruggedness of the terrain, we had overnight packs on board.

Monday Dec 27, 2010 #

Bushwalk 2:00:00 [3] 4.0 km (30:00 / km)

With overnight camping gear on our backs, we headed down the track. This track disappeared with flood damage, and we headed up a spur towards the track we were seeking. Didn't find the track, so set up camp for the night.

Sunday Dec 26, 2010 #

long slow run 1:18:00 [3] 11.3 km (6:54 / km)

I was the slowest today - had a sore knee and one ankle was feeling unstable, so running on the rough trails was difficult. It was ok when the track was reasonably smooth.

Saturday Dec 25, 2010 #

run 39:55 [3] 6.95 km (5:45 / km)
shoes: Asics Torano3

Rather boring trot along the Bendigo Creek towards Kangaroo flat and then back home...a run in the morning is justification for the serious eating later in the day.
Eating was serious but good.....

Monday Dec 20, 2010 #

run 41:45 [3] 7.1 km (5:53 / km)
shoes: Asics Torano3

Finally got the GPS out and took it for a run - it's not much company, but at least I don't have to guess the distance (although my guess has been pretty close). Feeling a bit better running. Must be getting a bit fitter.

Note

Well, I was all ready for a run at 10:30am, locked the door, tied the key onto my shoe lace, and the rain came down! Maybe its not a good idea to think too much in such situations, but I was still on the front porch and still dry at this stage. Decided that it wouldn't be fun to run a long way in the rain, and convinced myself that I didn't really to go out in the rain, so I untied the key, unlocked the door, came inside and replaced the running gear with frumping around the house gear. Instead of running, I made a christmas pudding and cleaned some kitchen fixtures. Walked into town later in the day, in the rain with a brolly.

Saturday Dec 18, 2010 #

run 57:50 [3] 9.0 km (6:26 / km)
shoes: Asics Torano3

First run in the last month where I have felt OK running. My knee didn't hurt too much (have been stretching and doing my VMO strengthening exercises). Went to Diamond Hill area from home, did a bit of bush running.

Friday Dec 17, 2010 #

Walking 50:00 [1] 7.0 km (7:09 / km)

Walking commuting

Thursday Dec 16, 2010 #

run 25:26 [3] 4.1 km (6:12 / km)
shoes: Asics Torano3

A metro kind of run - along our street to Rosalind Park, then back to raid a mulberry tree on someone's nature strip on our way home.

Walking 30:00 [1] 4.0 km (7:30 / km)

Fast walk into town and home, for a job interview and a few other tasks. Offered the job later in the day.

Monday Dec 13, 2010 #

run 41:19 [3] 7.0 km (5:54 / km)
shoes: Asics Torano3

After work ran along the creek and around lake Weeroona. This is my favourite route to run at this stage. Still very slow, with painful knees - must be more religious about doing my VMO exercises and stretching quads. I think its a patella tracking problem.

Walking 50:00 [1] 5.5 km (9:05 / km)

Commuting walking.

Saturday Dec 11, 2010 #

run 44:33 [3] 6.0 km (7:26 / km)
shoes: Asics Torano3

Run with Neil up to Specimen Hill and into the bushland around the fenced off reservoir. We went under the fence at the water channel and explored the impressive dry stone wall which forms part of the dam. The terrain is fairly rough with complexity in places.

Friday Dec 10, 2010 #

run 41:19 [3] 7.0 km (5:54 / km)
shoes: Asics Torano3

Ran from home to & around lake weeroona, then home. Lots of activity going on around town on a Friday evening.

Tuesday Dec 7, 2010 #

run 35:52 [3] 6.2 km (5:47 / km)
shoes: Asics Torano3

early morning run along the creek.
