Morning jog after having told Louise that I wasn't going to run this week (in an effort to recover properly). It's going to be a hot day and I felt like running, so at my age, such opportunities are not to be ignored.

six hour rogaine event near Dunolly. Neil, Louise and I set out at 11am expecting the temperature to reach 33, and it did. I flagged very early and slowed the group down. Initially we had agreed that we would aim to spend 3 hours rogaining, then give up and visit the Dunolly swimming pool.
Well, we were out for 5 hours and just about all the time we were walking rather than running. I suspect that I hadn't recovered fully from last weekend's run.

Morning run after sleeping heavily. At last my quads were not too sore to run a bit, but I didn't want push myself too much this morning. Getting a bit concerned about the rogaine on Saturday - its 6 hours and the temperature is expected to get into the mid 30s.

No exercise since Saturday. Haven't been able to run as my quads have been too sore. Reckon I'll try tomorrow morning. Not expecting wonders!

This was the first 'Run from the Hills' event based at the Avoca Winery. We were bused up to the start and ran back. This was a very picturesque run and steep (both up and down). Very tough! There were only 2 women in my age class, and even though my time was slow, I won a prize.

What a lovely day to ride! Went out the Juvenile with Ilka and JoAnne. I'm not really in good condition, so hung off the back (as usual). Completed the exercise session with coffee and cake - beautiful. Thanks girls!

First twilight event of the season, organised by Charles and starting at his place, run on the North diamond Hill map. Lovely evening, lots of fun, and the adults were matched in number by junior competitors who were all keen!

This was the Albury Wodonga orienteering Championship event on a new map at Walbundrie in NSW. Thsi is a small area of 3 granite hills within a paddock. The grass seeds were vicious! they burrowed into our ankles. Ouch! Pretty warm day - felt like summer already.

We went back to Kangaroo Crossing (the map used for the Victorian Championships in September), so I could do the whole course which I didn't finish then.
It was so tough! After 3 hours of walking I was too tired to complete the course and took a couple of short cuts. I'm very glad I got through the long legs of the course, but decided that I'm not going to enter any more championship events as W35A. Every time in recent years I have DNF'd the long course championship events I have entered in this age class.
So, the next championship event I do I'll enter my proper age class.
