run 22:00 [3] 4.6 km (4:47 / km)
shoes: Brookes Adrenalin

Set off for my first run in new running shoes. Shin pain returned after 20mins, so I finished the distance in power walking style.

Walking 15:00 [3] 2.4 km (6:15 / km)
shoes: Brookes Adrenalin

This was the walking part of the 'run'.
Shins sore later in the evening when walking around at home.

long slow run 1:31:04 [3] 11.3 km (8:04 / km)

We went to Mt Kooyoora for our Sunday long run. Unfortunately I ended up walking because I was getting shin pain in the 2nd half of the run. I think I need to get new shoes.

run 28:22 [3] 5.15 km (5:30 / km)
shoes: Asics Torano3

After work did the Rowan - MacKenzie hill loop. Noticed it was getting darker much earlier than last week. There's about 7 hills on this run; a couple of them are very steep little testy things that get the heart working hard and there's a couple of longer more subtle slopes. I like this loop and try to do it once a week.

orienteering 2:07:47 [4] ***** 11.7 km (10:55 / km)
shoes: innov8

Orientshow event. Three courses; the first I had a lot of trouble getting in to the map. The second course I enjoyed; was more able to read the map and get some flow going, although it was far from a clean run. The third course was long and required good concentration. I was pleased to be able to complete this - last year I DNF'd because I wasn't enjoying it at the end. I don't have a time for my courses, because I forgot to turn off my GPS after each run, and lost my print out. The distance was taken from Prue's AP. I don't know if this is the distance of my courses either. If I ever see the results I might adjust these on this log.
