Running intervals (UBOC training) 55:00 [3] 7.0 km (7:51 / km)

Met at 5.00 at the Water Tower. Did 3 sets ( 2 min recovery inbetween) of 4x90 secs fast with 30secs rest inbetween. Really hard work, but good even though it was raining and dark. It was good to run with other people and to keep speed even relative to others.We were only going to do 2 sets but I didn't feel like that was enough so did the extra one. Warm up and down from stoke bishop 1.5km - 20mins total.

Did not feel top of the world but didn't expect to. Really good seeing everyone in the family and may have not talked to anyone else enough as I hadn't seen them for 3weeks.
Warm up and metnal preparation was not very good - though I had prepared the day before. Started off fine and pretty quick but knew that I couldn't keep that speed up for very long. Made a mistake in the Gorse - but was really strange and would have had to have walked to make sure spiked that control. almost made a few more mistakes and on or two I overshot or slightly off on my bearing and so need to sort out my o-technique and concentrate more. It was good to do some orienteering but even more demoralised at how unfit I've become because of being ill. I have known all along that I wouldn't be very good so it shouldn't be too bad.

Got to the UBCCC training 2hrs early as confused by the time and ran with some Avon and West runners instead. Was at a good pace - sped up towards the end. Didn't feel completely terrible but obviously rather unfit and chatted (which I never normally do when running). Ran around the fields at Coombe DIngle and was quite nice as was still sunny.

Swam 60 lengths in an hour and felt extremely tried at the end - I think I may have done a bit too much and will feel it everywhere tomorrow. The swimming pool was very crowded so had to stop a lot behind people. Did breaststoke and front crawl.
