Devilla 15k trail race
route change due to bad weather, missed the muddy loop round Peppermill Dam and instead headed straight back from the water station before going back round Moor Loch on the 5k route
steady start and then a bit of effort to get ahead of people before the muddy path
bit of shock as the stream had burst its banks and the path was under water, although not as much of a shock as the 2 runners ahead of me who fell in the stream, glad I'd been along yesterday and knew where the path was
just one guy in sight ahead of me after this and passed him just before the saw mill, the leaders were out of sight
was then on my own but could hear people behind on the track, finally got caught just before the cobbled climb and then had to work hard round the 5k loop
just managing to hang on and then got my nose in front by going throught the puddles at the start of the cobbles, then just eyeballs out to the finish
end up 4th and 1st V40
